I came on the Ljubljana card so it was free. An excellent trip through the history of the city through pre-Roman, Roman, middle Ages, Austrian domination, Napoleonic times and Yugoslavia. Well-explained, amazing artefacts and multimedia experience.

One of the best museum experiences in Ljubljana. Combine this w/ Stow coffee and you're good for a good part of the quality day. Even as a local I managed to learn a bunch of new things.

I heard the city museum is wonderful and a must if you have some extra time in the city. But the first time we found ourselves in the building was for Stow, and we've been going back there ever since for Stow. Unfortunately, I haven't yet been to the actual museum. I will right this wrong the next time I visit lovely Ljubljana.
