This museum is divided in three parts, one will lead you through the whole history of the city and region, one part is the Roman walls and remains underground, and one is a temporary exhibition. I savoured all of it and it took me three hours. The exhibition is thought through, creative, interactive and one of the best museum experiences I've had so far. Good job to the team behind the museum.

Très intéressant musée sur l'histoire de lujblana. Traduction en anglais. Inclus dans la carte touristique que je vous recommande pour faire tous les musées de la ville, le château, le petit train, le bateau et le bus à volonté !

A wonderful museum which I rate higher than the castle, particularly if you want to learn about the development of Ljubljana. Not overloaded with too much information. Allow an hour and a half at least.

We had an incredible experience in this museum. We got a free guided tour from Vieth (hopefully I’m wiriting it correctly). He was a university student with an incredible wealth of knowledge while also with being a great storyteller. No need to book the tour in advance, you can ask at the front desk. Highly recommended 🙌
