Behind the gate and walls is a secret garden which surrounds the property. This lovely family run guest house definitely had the homely feeling. The sun shines on the pool from morning to early evening. The guest house is very quiet and relaxing. Our apartment had a spacious bedroom, living/kitchen and separate bathroom. The housekeeper kept on top of everything and was lovely and bubbly and always had time for a quick chat! The breakfast was both hot and cold foods & drinks and was plentiful. The pool cocktail bar was open from 11am to 3pm. Tony is always there to offer advise on places to eat and visit. Whilst a 5 min bus ride from the old town which is a must, the harbour is a 30 second walk with lots of eateries. There are plenty of trips to go on so you can get out and about. The guest house is perfectly situated for access to all areas. Dubrovnik has monster mosquitos, don't forget to take your Deet repellent- some treatments are only available via Drs prescription so far cheaper to take your own - be prepared!

What a hidden gem this place is, the walk up to the gates gives nothing away from what lies beyond them. The pathways are lined with beautiful flowers, homegrown tomatoes and aubergines grow in the veg patch. Above the seating area are vines and kiwis. Lemon and fruit trees are in the gardens.| The pool is lovely and quiet but very friendly, people are happy to chat and share their travel experiences with you. |Tony, Rose and Magdalena are the friendliest of hosts you could want, Tony always says if you need anything just ask. . Always something to eat at breakfast a selection of continental and cooked breakfast, whether that be scrambled, hard boiled or soft boiled eggs, sausage, bacon and lovely fresh fruit etc plus juices, coffee and tea.|Cocktails served from 11 whilst 3 they are so cheap too. 5.50 euros! They definitely pack a punch! All served by their lovely son. ||Perfect location to tour surrounding areas. 25 min walk to the old town or a 5 min bus ride. |All in all we had a lovely relaxing holiday with the most perfect hosts.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at Bokun guesthouse it was a beautiful place to stay once you walked through the door into the grounds it you were greeted with a quiet relaxing place to spend your holiday. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the pool with its cocktail bar open from 11am till 3pm was a lovely place to relax. The buffet breakfast was just what you needed to start your day. The guesthouse is a perfect location for exploring the sites of Dubrovnik but also having somewhere relaxing to return to. We definitely return to the Bokun guesthouse

From the hustle and bustle of a city and busy port , through those green gates lies the most serene , peaceful guesthouse. Guarded even from all the noise of the traffic . |Everything about it is great , from the grapes and kiwis growing above your head in the breakfast area , to the calm relaxing pool area ( not forgetting a cheeky cocktail from the little bar between 11-3 !!) Rooms are lovely and clean , air conditioning is great . |The owners are a lovely family , that welcome you to their home and make you feel like family . |An abundance of fruit and veg grows in the grounds as well as some beautiful flowers . Try Tony’s wine during your stay , or even buy a bottle to take home |! Breakfast is plentiful , and relaxed , no rushing . We met some lovely people , usually over breakfast , sharing day trips , local restaurants and bars ! |We loved our stay at Bokun Guesthouse , and hope to revisit . In the meantime we will highly recommend it to all our friends and family! Missing it already !

Excellent location right near the ferry terminal from Gruz. Bus stops to old town very near by. Our hosts were exceptional, very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. Supermarket within walking distance.

We visited for a week this year having had our original trip cancelled during the pandemic. So glad we rebooked. |As a base to explore Dubrovnik, the location of Bokun is perfect. Plenty of walks, shops, restaurants & bars all in close proximity. The old town in easy reach via a 20 min walk or quick hop on the bus (recommend the Dubrovnik Pass).|On arrival at the property, we had a very warm welcome from the hosts, and that warmth continued throughout our stay. Our room was a double which was comfortable with sufficient hanging space & shelving. The bathroom was perfectly functional, but a little on the small side if you were perhaps a larger person. The air conditioning unit was super handy as it faced the bed, although the room still felt hot. The shutters on the window were brilliant for keeping the room nice & dark, a must for light sleepers.|The pool area was lovely, so peaceful & we often had it to ourselves. There were plenty of sunbeds & parasols.|Breakfast was very nice, with different pastries/cakes, cereals, fruits & some hot options each day. The coffee was particularly good, which I always appreciate. Another bonus was having access to an ice machine, we made full use of this refilling our water bottles frequently.|As mentioned in all the reviews the hosts are brilliant. The guesthouse & beautiful gardens are very well maintained. It really does feel like a little oasis away from the hustle & bustle outside.

This was one of our best holidays yet and that is due to the beautiful Bokun Guesthouse and its wonderful owners Toni & Ruzica also Maroje and Maggie|We were greeted Ruzica with a friendly smile and a welcome drink and then Toni gave us loads of information about the area / restaurants / trips |Our room looked fresh and clean with a very comfy bed, wardrobe space, excellent A/C, fresh towels when required and a small but cold fridge. Our view No 2 was over the beautiful gardens and on the 1st floor.|The gardens are an oasis of calm and huge with so much homegrown produce ( including vines which Toni makes his own wines from - worth a try )|The pool area is divine with a good sized pool .. 10 loungers.. toilet .. pool bar open 11-3 for cocktails .. it is so peaceful with only birdsong for noise|The breakfast is served 8-10 and is self serve continental with fresh coffee and juices … the best bit is that you sit with the other guests and get to chat and swap recommendations for trips restaurants etc|Toni and his family really cannot do enough to make you happy and that shines through |If you walk out the entrance onto Gruz main Port area you can turn left to supermarket (5mins) The Old Town ( 30 mins ) Lapad Beach (30 mins ) or take a stroll around the Marina which is a stunning view especially at Sunset - there are loads of high quality restaurants many with roof top terraces also a winery and an open air cinema |If you turn right you walk the Port side and see the yachts and cruise ships also there is a daily local food / fish and flower market and again loads of bars and restaurants and also a brewery |All the restaurants are high end serving quality food and drinks |We used uber to get around but the bus stop is 5 mins away and great prices but can get very busy|Thankyou Toni & Ruzica for letting us share your beautiful home |We will see you again |Mark & Louise

Peaceful, tropical oasis hidden away. Beautiful guesthouse with stunning gardens and a nice little pool. Magdalena, Rose and Tony were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is perfect, fruit, cereals, eggs, bacon , sausage, selection of breads and conserves and cakes.. would definitely return. In a great location near the marina with a choice of bars and restaurants. Thank you for our stay and your hospitality.

I couldn’t rate this place any higher, it’s a beautiful, friendly, peaceful oasis set back from the Main Street in Gruz. |The rooms are comfortable and really quiet.|With only a small number of rooms it feels so friendly and all the guests seem to chat to each other and share where they have been and recommendations. |Breakfast was always so fresh with fruit, eggs, meats and cheeses as well as something different everyday e.g. pancakes, or a home made muesli. |Gruz itself has plenty of bars and restaurants, and Lapad is a short walk so lots on the doorstep. You can also walk in to old town but it is a bit of a hilly stretch, the buses are so cheap and regular and only €5 in and Uber! |Finally a big Thankyou to Rose and Magdelana who made it super special, from giving us lemons straight from the tree for our pancakes, to sharing a map and making recommendations, nothing was too much and all the personal touches made our trip!

Petit écrin de paradis en plein Dubrovnik, propriétaire super sympatique et toujours présent pour vous aider et donner de bon conseils. Petit déjeuner et piscine, Chambre jolie et propre. On Recommandé vivement ce lieux, nous y sommes resté 6 jours.

Had a wonderful time here, Toni and his wife and their helper were so wonderful the gardens were great too. It was peaceful and a world away from. The hustle and bustle of the old town but not too far, 25 min. Walk maximum. Would definitely go and stay here again, shame to leave.
