Zéro! J'avais loué une voiture via booking. Mais au moment de payer ils ne voulait pas de ma carte de débit pour la caution. Ils veulent une carte de crédit...première fois en Europe que l'on me demande ça...il peut y avoir un arrangement en prenant une assurance avec eux à 65€ par jour...sachant que la location de la voiture pour 15 jours était à 220€...du vol pour des bons pigeons de touristes de plus l'accueil est vraiment pas au niveau. J'aurais du regarder les notes avant de réserver.... Aller chez Hertz ils prennent la carte de débit 😉 et l'accueil est top 👍

Rented a car for a week from zagreb airport. Paid the extra 55 euros to take the car into slovenia. When picking the car up, the girl in reception never informed me that I had to purchase a vignette pass to drive in slovenia. Got fined 150 euros coming back into Croatia. Made a complaint but never heard back. Absolutely shocking customer service. Regularly use avis but never again!

Terrible hidden charges. They ‘found’ a scratch on the hubcap. $74 damage and $150 ‘automatic’ airport charges. So don’t rent from Avis at Zagreb Airport.

Completely disappointed by Budget after my last experience in Zagreb airport. Their employee at the counter on Sunday 01 June 2025, 09:20, registered additional services (full vehicle cover protection for 39.59€ per day = 197.95€) and Premium Location Fee (10.58€, not referred to in the rental voucher) in my rental car agreement, which I had not asked for, without even notifying me about it. Then, he asked me to sign the contract electronically, which I did immediately, since I never was suspicious that an employee of a company like Budget could proceed with such deceptive tactics. But alas! I realised what had happened after having dropped the car off, when I saw the extra charge in my credit card account. What surprises me is that, while I had bought full cover protection by Zurich Insurance at the time of booking the car via Booking.com, the guy at the counter apparently ignored it or "took the initiativet" to offer me super extra protection!! Is he really a Budget employee? Should anyone record the rhyme between them and the teller in the future to prove their right? The other important thing is that I cannot find his name anywhere in the contract. How can someone exercise their rights as a customer, when the employee's details are not shared in the contract between them (the customer) and him as the company's representative? Do Budget's employees need protection by the company against any disputes between them and the customers? Are they not responsibly working at the specific post? After 2 email complaint messages they thought good to clarify the renting process to me, as if I were an unexperienced traveller; In a nutshell they claimed that I was wrong for not being suspicious with their employee and not examining the conrtract in detail before picking the car up. Be careful with them. Deceptive tactics and unexpecyed future charges in force!!

One of the best car rental experiences I've ever had 👍 The rental procedure was fast and all the staff very polite and professional. They were not intimidating me into buying an extra insurance at all (of course I already had one from my insurance company back home). I got a brand new Peugeot 208 that was a lovely modern car that I really enjoyed driving and of course took care like it was mine. The return process was easy as well. Because I needed the car a bit longer than the working hours they instructed me to just drop the car keys in a metal box next to the airport parking area. Funds on my credit card were released 15 calendar days later. Perfect and if I visit again Zagreb I will definitely visit AVIS again 🚙

BITTE LESEN 🙏 Wir haben Freitag unseren Leihwagen abends nach dem Flug mit eurowings, worüber wir auch gebucht haben, am Airport abgeholt. Der Mitarbeiter vor Ort war zwar nicht sonderlich motiviert, dennoch hat alles geklappt. Hatten renault Clio oder ähnlich gebucht und bekamen einen nagelneuen Opel corsa. Super Fahrzeug ohne Schäden. Vollgetankt war es auch. Erst bei Ankunft am Ziel, las ich diese ganzen Bewertungen und bekam schon Angst!! Beim abgeben habe ich viele Fotos gemacht. Wirklich von allem auch von unten und darauf bestanden, dass jemand mitkommt und uns quittiert das alles super ist. Das war auch so! Aber wir hatten echt einen neuwagen! 5 Tage später war die Kaution in voller Höhe auf meiner Kreditkarte zurück! ich kann hier nichts negatives berichten Für die nächste Buchung und allen anderen, die vorher wissen sollten, wo sie ihr Auto buchen empfehle ich schon bei Abholung einen Mitarbeiter mit ans Auto zu nehmen und sich alles, sollten Schäden vorhanden sein, bestätigen zu lassen. SCHRIFTLICH! Das selbe gilt bei Abgabe des Fahrzeugs! Lassen Sie sich alles ausstellen und bestätigen. Bewahren Sie Tankquittungen auf! 50 Euro wurden uns dennoch bei Abholung noch berechnet und ich weiß nicht wofür. Wir haben die Versicherung schon vorher mit dem Flug und dem Leihwagen zusammen gebucht und auch das Auto im voraus bezahlt. Wenn ich es mir aussuchen könnte, würde ich da dennoch kein Auto holen aufgrund der anderen Bewertungen. Ich denke, wir hatten einfach GLÜCK!

Made a reservation on Travelocity. Amazing price. Showed up to pick up a car. Not the correct car and not the correct price. The price they gave me was 4 times the original amount and also i was told that the security deposit was 5000€. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else.

2te mal versucht und 2te wurde ich " total verar...t beim ersten Mal vor 2 Jahren standen wir 5 Stunden am Flughafen in Zagreb und kamen nicht weg wegen Probleme mit der Kredit Karte ( damals war meine Frau sogar hoch Schwanger und es hatt keine Sau interessiert. Heute 2 Jahre später stehe ich nun mit mein 2 Jahre alten Sohn und meiner Frau erneut am Flughafen in zagreb und kriege kein Leihwagen da er einfach abgeben wurde trotz Reservierung vor 2 Monaten!!!! Und es gibt weit und breit keine Autos habe aber noch 450km vor mir jetzt kann ich erstmal nach ein Hotel schauen. Vielen lieben Dank Avis das ihr mir erneut den Urlaub versaut. Ein richtiges drecks Unternehmen was von meinen Anwalt hören wird!!! FINGER WEG BETRÜGER FIRMA geht lieber nach Sixxt oder bucht über ADAC.

Very disappointing experience with Avis/Budget/Payless. After returning the car in perfect condition — clean, undamaged, and on time — an additional charge of over €300 appeared on the credit card without any clear explanation. Despite having full documentation (photos and videos proving the car’s condition), customer support has been slow and unhelpful. This seems to be a common issue lately, as many others have reported similar unexpected charges after returning their vehicles. Rent with caution!!! Make sure to take detailed photos and videos, and keep all documentation. This kind of practice feels dishonest and unprofessional.
