Great tasting experience. We brought friends from England and the tours were fully booked. Even though she was very busy, Tirana went out of her way to explain the oil production and character of the oils. We learned so much and had a great experience.

Als Tourist wird man sehr nett empfangen und in perfekten Deutsch bedient. Es wird einem die richtige Art und Weise von Olivenöltasting erklärt. Fachlich sowie menschlich kompetent. Wir kommen gern wieder, wenn das Ölivenöl aufgebraucht ist. Eine sehr angenehme Erfahrung hier zu kaufen. Im zweiten Jahr, kurz nach der Ernte ist die Auswahl besonders groß. Wir können nur unsere Empfehlung aussprechen. Wir werden wiederkommen.

If you are in Istria, you should visit Chiavalon. We did the Taste Istria tasting and information session (all in English), and it was well, well worth the 30 euros (seriously - you get a ton of great information about olive oil production and quality, you get to taste all the oils, plus you get so much wine and a delicious Istrian spread of meats, cheeses, vegetables, and olives. What a steal!). We learned so much from Bosko - he is the best! He told us so much great information, plus he answered all of our questions. He even let us know how we could order the olive oil in the US. Thank you for a great afternoon, Bosko!!!!! Other random pros - they have plenty of parking on site, their bathrooms are very clean, they take credit cards, and the building is super cool and modern. Win/win all around!

Hier nog gestopt na een mindere ervaring om olijfolie te proeven en te kopen. Maar wat een verschil! Zeer vriendelijk ontvangen en een zeer gedetailleerde uitleg over het oogsten en verwerken van de olijfolie. Wauw, daarna een uitgebreide tasting. Dit is echt de moeite! Ongelooflijk enthousiast.

Cudowne miejsce. Dziewczyna ( przepraszam nie zapamiętałem imienia) która się nami zaopiekowała wyjaśniała nam z pasją wszystkie aspekty produkcji oliwy, różnic różnych rodzajów oliwy, kompozycji z mięsami, warzywami a nawet z kawa czy koktajlem. Czuliśmy się wyjątkowo, tak jakbyśmy byli najważniejszymi klientami a degustacja 5ciu rodzajów oliwy z wyjaśnieniem różnic, z czym podawać it'd było mega przeżyciem. Łączenie oliwy z drinkiem gin +tonic czy z kawą nieprawdopodobne a oni to wymyślili. Bardzo polecamy wizytę i oliwy. Wyszliśmy z 3ema rodzajami.

Do yourself a favor and stop for a tasting. The gal giving our tasting was extremely knowledgeable. Her sweet disposition made our experience fun. We learned about the local orchards, how to taste and tell 100% extra virgin oil from mixed oil. We learned about the importance of cold pressing and polyphenols. One of the highlights of our trip.

Preoduševljena smo posjetom uljari Chiavalon. Od samog dolaska do zadnje kapi maslinovog ulja,sve je bilo na najvišoj razini. Ljubazni, topli i izuzetno susretljivi domaćini s puno znanja i strasti prema onome što rade. Degustacija je bila pravo iskustvo, ukusno, edukativno i autentično, a lokacija predivna, u savršenom skladu s prirodom. Sve pohvale, 11/10! Rado ćemo se vratiti i svakome preporučiti!

We stopped by Chiavalon after trying their EVOO in a restaurant, and it quickly became a highlight of our trip so far. The staff in the shop are so knowledgeable and enthusiastic in explaining the differences between each variety, how the oil is processed, and their efforts to sustainably use all materials involved. The quality is outstanding and our visit to the farm shop was a delight!

We had the joy of being the first Olive Oil Tasters of 2025 at this gorgeous grove and mill. Genuinely a highlight of our trip to Croatia and the experience was unforgettable. We also got to meet one of the brothers who owns the organisation but the highlight (apart from the unbelievably good olive oil) was our guide and expert Boško. His knowledge, stories and experience made the tour and tasting so memorable. The local lunch spread, wine and produce is such a thoughtful touch and is a testament to the value that Chiavalon put on being part of this community. This is a must do activity if you are in the region and definitely worth every penny!

We had an olive oil tasting here. This olive oil company is family owned and is using untraditional processes for this region because they cold press young olives in September vs riped olives in the December January timeframe. Chiavalon has many olive oil options for many types of uses and palates. Definitely worth a visit if you want to learn more about the olive oil tasting. A few but not all of the oils are available in the USA. The staff is comfortable communicating in English.

Went here this summer. Great people, great location, great oil, great food and products. We bought a few bottles to take home. One of them was leaky and after contacting them we could come and pick up a new bottle no questions asked. Amazing experience
