Good hotel for Dubrovnik. Next to bus station. Bus drivers take you in minutes to the old town. (Expect a hell ride... They drive like crazy) Restaurant and supermarkets close by. Only breakfast is too expensive I think (20 euro). I can recommend this hotel

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A flawless masterpiece in minimalist expectations. City Hotel Dubrovnik deserves all five stars — and maybe a bonus one for sheer creative audacity. Who knew luxury could be so... imaginatively interpreted? Let’s start with the location: technically in Dubrovnik, if you count “somewhere vaguely near the outskirts with a charming view of a roundabout” as Dubrovnik. Why stay inside the UNESCO walls when you can experience the thrilling realism of a supermarket parking lot from your window? The room? Oh, stunning! A thrilling exercise in “guess what this button does.” Lighting design clearly inspired by UFO sightings—either too dim or blinding, depending on the setting you’ll never find again. Mattress had the exact firmness of a yoga mat left on a concrete floor for emotional support. Bold choice! The breakfast buffet was an avant-garde performance piece: toast, butter, and… mystery meats. Five stars just for the courage to challenge conventional taste buds. Coffee machine? Straight out of a sci-fi film, minus the functionality. Loved the suspense of whether it would dispense espresso or a light puff of steam. Staff? Absolutely there. Sometimes. Occasionally even acknowledged my existence with a perfectly curated “I-have-so-many-other-things-to-do” energy that made me feel wonderfully unimportant. True luxury. If you're looking to truly embrace the art of staying somewhere, without being distracted by comfort, views, or centrality, City Hotel Dubrovnik is your mecca.

I had a lovely two night stay from Thursday 29 May. Unfortunately, when I arrived in Dubrovnik my checked luggage was still in Dubai. There were three young ladies on the Front Desk that went above and beyond in helping me with my luggage, its whereabouts and having it returned to me. As a (new) solo female traveller their assistance, patience and resourcefulness made the beginning of my month-long journey practically stress free as they continually kept me updated with any developments. I was absolutely impressed by their commitment to helping me. And yes, I wholeheartedly agree with other reviews in saying that the hotel is perfectly located (with pristine clean rooms that had everything you needed), is close to transport and within walking distance to practically everything ! I plan to holiday again in Croatia, and when in Dubrovnik I will definitely be returning to City Hotel.

Spacious clean room and bathroom. Didn’t book with breakfast so cannot comment on the restaurant. Excellent location - walking distance from the port for trips to islands. The old town is a 20 minute walk, €20 cab journey or €2.50, 10 minute air conditioned bus ride. Great cafe (Amici) around the corner for breakfast, ice cream, drinks. Would definitely recommend.
It was an absolute disappointment. The rooms were like little cells, with no windows and the bed was from one wall to the other other with no space at all in between. If we wanted to answer the phone on the bed table we had to take our shoes off. If I wanted to get up in the middle of the night I had to step over my daughter who was sleeping next to me||The receptionist Denis was unbelievably rude and ironic||The breakfast was really basic however the stuff was really polite.||I am really sorry that this hotel charges these prices for these services
Perfect location ! Not in the old Town city, which is very crowded. I recomend stay out of old Town.|City hotel is perfect, super new, very well mainteined, super friendly team.|They really help us with everything.|10/10.|Breakfast, even though is out of room rate, must appreciate it for 20 eu$.|I’d love to stay here once more.

Spent a few nights here in early June. Hotel is ideally located near the port with some lovely restaurants all around. This hotel is very clean. Room was spacious and the ritual toiletries in the bathroom were a nice touch. Breakfast was ‘ok’ but every morning the eggs were lukewarm & the bacon was cold. The heat from the lamps need to be turned up quite a bit as the temperature is no way adequate to keep the food hot. English breakfast tea was not available only herbal. Staff were really nice. Would consider this hotel again on a return trip to Dubrovnik.
