A star ⭐️ we popped into this wine bar/restaurant for a glass of wine late afternoon on a hot day. The manager was amazing, taking us through a wine tasting, a walk through local contemporary issues and wonderful travel suggestions for Slovenia and Montenegro, the latter thanks to the amazing chef! The wine was superb (and as Australians we know a little about wine ;), the accompanying parmigiana delicious and the hospitality beyond any expectation. An absolute must when you are in Lubjljana. And we will return.

Wow, this restaurant has a record of perfect reviews and I'm going to have to agree. High quality ingredients cooked perfectly, no fancy techniques but just straightforward cooking that allows the taste of the food to speak for itself. The waiter was an absolute pleasure, he took care of us extremely well, explaining each dish and the special origins of the ingredients. He also came up with a tasting flight of wines and delivered explanations of each one too. All while maintaining a great attitude and putting a smile on our faces as well. Very highly recommended restaurant that should be on the MUST DINE list of everyone who visits Ljubljana!

We happened to meet the chef, Ksanija, earlier in the day, and she recommended that we come for dinner. The food and service were amazing! We had several courses with wine pairings and enjoyed every bite.

A diamond in the city. The staff is both multilingual as well as excellent hosts. Not only were they friendly but also very entertaining and provided an awesome experience with some laughs and great service. The ingredients are local & fresh and you can tell. The owners also own a vineyard and winery in an esteemed area of winemaking so the insight and selection provided are second to none. Overall presentation of the dishes was excellent. Highly recommend to visit if you're looking for fresh seafood and amazing pasta.

Večkrat smo se s prijatelji ustavili v bistroju in vedno bili navdušeni. Hrana okusna, lepo prezentirana na prečudovitih krožnikih, postrežba na visokem nivoju, pa tudi ponudba vin je izjemno široka. Bistro je pravi raj za ljubitelje dobre hrane in vina. Vsekakor priporočam obisk.

V Ljubljani že zelo, zelo dolgo ni bilo nečesa tako dobrega. Dejstvo je, da so Primorci carji gostoljubja in dobre hrane. To se vidi tudi v Tavarneti. Vrhunski natakar, odlična izbira vin in top hrana! Cena popolnoma ustrezna, ker je vse skupaj ODLIČNA izkušnja.

This place is all about simple eats with no unnecessary frills, letting the ingredients shine. They nail the crudi (raw fish) game with good quality, and keep the rest of the menu pretty chill, mainly sticking to fish dishes, just the way I like it 😁 great wine list with some awesome Champagne and Slovenian sparklers, with a shoutout to Scurek 🤩 It’s the perfect place not to eat, but enjoy some good food&wine, especially when with someone special.
