Getting There

Instead, visitors can park at the official Vintgar Lip parking lot and use the Vintgar Shuttle, which operates frequently from Bled’s main bus station. read a lot of reviews before coming to vintgar gorge and here is my experience after visiting the place: would recommend buying tickets online (€10/pax adult)! reached vintgar gorge at 10:30am & parked at “free shuttle terminal” on google maps (parking nearest to gorge & still have lots of parking lots available by the time we reached. there would be a person there to collect payment in cash/card and tell you where to park) which cost €10! (pricey but you don’t have to worry about the shuttle bus timing if that bothers you) the walk through gorge is pretty easy & it’s also a one-direction route, at the entrance you’ll be given a helmet and you can take a hairnet from the basket (only able to enter at the exact time stated on your ticket! we tried to scan the ticket earlier but it didn’t work!) the trail took about 40mins, very beautiful. the end of the trail is where you return your helmets and you’ll be given a choice if you would want take the right trail (king of triglav trail) or the left trail (the river of trees trail) the right trail has some simple uphill walk & nice scenery (as well as a cafe midway through the walk) but do take note it takes around an hour to reach the entrance! the left trail is faster but it’s a more difficult path so do remember to wear proper hiking boots/shoes as the path does get muddy/slippery. overall, my family & i enjoyed our time here at vintgar gorge! would definitely recommend coming here if you’re visiting slovenia!

Vintgar Gorge is a must in the itinerary, when you are planning a trip to Slovenia (read Lake Bled & nearby area) Gorge is exceptionally beautiful & worth a visit, the walk up is easy however the hike while coming back is through a forest and mountains (via a narrow path), so it becomes quite challenging especially if it’s hot or a sunny day. Just to add: Hiking shoes are a must for the return trail.

We arrived shortly before it opened and there wasn’t any crowd so we had a good time. The walk inside the Vintgar Gorge is totally worth it but the hike to return back to entrance is very boring. There are hardly any views. Overall €10 entry ticket and another €10 for parking isn’t worth it.

Its very stunning. EUR10 per head. Can pay by card or cash. Waiting time 1-4 hours, depending on the crowds. After you exit the waterfall, you need to hike back to the entrance around 40mins. Pls wear proper shoes. And maybe bring water and sweets.

Absoluut de moeite om te doen, zeer mooie natuur en water. Enkel spijtig dat de wandeling terug niet langs het water is. Reserveer zeker een tijdslot vooraf online en zorg dat je tijdig aanwezig bent.

Venus en septembre et malgré tout très fréquenté, on se suit à la file indienne après une attente de 45min pour gérer l'afflux à l'entrée. 10€ l'entrée et 3€ pour les chiens. Parking 10€. Il y aurait un parking avec navette mais attention chiens autorisés uniquement avec muselière. L'aménagement des gorges est conséquent, je le conçoit mais je trouve le prix malgré tout excessif et on se sent perpétuellement pressé d'avancer pour ne pas gêner vu qu'on marche tous en sens unique sur les pontons d'un mètre de large. Les gorges sont effectivement très belles, à voir si cela était vraiment un incontournable au point d'endurer cette vague de monde qu'on fuit le plus possible.

Awesome place. We were here when it rains but it was even better. Noone else was here and river with wooden platform was wonderful. O recommended you to go out with longer (but easy) path. Most beautiful place from my Italia-Slovenia-Austria roadtrip.

I’m sure this hike is great, but we couldn’t even get in (arrived at what I would imagine is peak time, around 2pm). We were told to park in an alternative parking lot, but we couldn’t find it! The signage was non-existent. If you go, avoid mid-day.
