I have spoken with Witter on four occasions concerning delivery of an out of stock tow bar but then found one on their site on Ebay, 48 hour delivery. 24 hours later received an e-mail cancelling the order as out of stock! Back to Witter, i think the person i spoke to was half asleep. i had to keep asking him if he was still there! Gave up & phoned back & got another person who confirmed they could not say when they would receive a delivery! Pretty disgusting considering Witter fly such a 'huge personal flag' over customer service & having them made in Romania speaks volumes. Should have kept manufacturing in house in the UK! then it would be only a matter of walking onto the factory floor for the answer..

Arranged a tow bar to be fitted paid over £700 The date arranged fitter on way found didnt have the parts re arranged for 4days later fitter arrived was very God no complaints however the next day completely locked out of car battery completely flat fitter explained one of withers fittings drained the battery he didn't have a battery charger suitable for our car therefore we had to purchase a specialist one.in the meantime no car I have motabilty issues so the witter person stated they would pay for our taxis and out of pocket expenses Eventually the battery was completely broken had to buy new battery four days later still no car the fitter brought a qualified auto electical engineer who declined the wiring diagram supplied was in correct Compliant to witter told transferring legal department in America!!! After several attempts still no money return wouldn't recommend this company

AVOID AT ALL COST! Towbar arrived with fitter who had apparently checked it. However, it was badly scratched in transit from Witter (zip tied main parts metal on metal - very poor QC) with the worst quality powder coat I have ever seen (bubbled and already showing rust). He expected to fit it anyway to which I refused even after he said that he wouldn't want that on his van. Customer Service at Witter was even worse. They made no apology for my loss of wages for the day booked off and wasted through them sending a damaged product. When I tried to resolve the matter through arranging a new date (fool that I am) they said they did not want to and would only offer a refund which doesn't help if you still need a tow bar. Terrible company that can't communicate properly, use 2nd rate fitters and supply damaged goods without offer of resolution. Spend your money with them if you dare-I've cut my losses and certainly won't be and would far from recommend them to anyone. Shocking.

First class service tow bar was fitted at home.Steve did a first class job and took the time to explain the fitting and removal of the tow hitch Having the job done at home meant I could get on with other things and not having to wait or drop the car off.

Just had detachable towbar fitted to a 3 month old discovery and I have never seen such a mess. Witter you should hold your heads in shame. Just look at it, removable towbar? really, which bit is hidden and why do I have to use a commercial towing trim made for a fixed drop plate towbar with your 'detachable' hidden bar. Have to say the service from the fitting engineer was amazing, but the product is just hopeless and is being removed for an original towbar as soon as I can. Not his fault, but please redesign your product urgently. Hopeless

Detachable hitch experienced a 'catastrophic' mechanical failure after one use. I only found out when I tried to connect it to my car and it kept falling out. The towbar fitters couldn't fix it, so in desperation I called Witter, who arranged a replacement for the next morning. Holiday was back on! Thanks to Steve, Gail and Laura. Well done!!

All manufacturing jobs have been moved to Romania. But their website says "All our towbars are manufactured here in the UK at our factory in Deeside". Very misleading.

Superb customer service. I was passing by the head offic and knew I needed some work doing to upgrade my Witter towball. I called in on spec to get some advice and they went out of their way to not only give me that advice but also to fit the upgrade there and then! Totally unexpected but was extremely good customer service. Really they should have sent me to one of their authorised dealers so was above and beyond the normal day to day job. Once again, superb!
