One of if not the best zoo my family and I have been to. They basically builded this zoo in a hill in Slovenia and kept the natural hikes and trails with minimal structures. Everything makes you feel so close to the animals and nature. The zoo is dog friendly, so your furry friends can enjoy an awesome walk around the zoo and see other animals. They have a restaurant in the zoo with inexpensive food and cold beverages. They also have a couple of super awesome playground for your kids.

Although they don't have giraffes, Croatias Zoo is a tad bit better with all of it's animals.

Fantastisch wunderschöner Park in die man den ganzen Tag verbringen kann auch mit Kindern da immer wieder Spielplätze auf dem Weg sind

I love animals and I'm always conflicted with zoos but am usually swayed because they contribute the most to conservation efforts but this was the most depressing trip I've ever had to a zoo the smarter animals seem to be given small enclosures and nothing to enrich their already boring lives. The worst part was when we to see the chimps and it was smaller than my apartment along with the baby chimp that was alone, when we'd start to walk away it would get as close to the fence as possible with a hand out as if it wanted us to stay, I can't say if it wanted us there because maybe people give it food but what I can say is that it seemed to want company and to not be left alone. All of the enclosures seemed way too small and in my opinion the animals should be moved to a better facility where their needs can be met so that their life of captivity can at least be met.

Nice Zoo with lots of different animals. Also feels a little like a hiking trip since there is a nice circle way.
