Fun experience, a little expensive, to scound for youth 18 and under, six and under is free. Can all be seen in about half an hour. There is a cafe inside so you can have a drink or coffee.

The views are the best here at this fortress. The walk up is about 10-15 minutes and can make you break a sweat but it's totally worth it. At the top you can get different angles of the bay, watch all the cruises and yachts coming in and out and also have a drink or two at their bar on top. Highly recommended if you go to Havr you cannot miss this spot. I believe it's like €10 to go in.

Sa ove tvrđave imate pogled za milion dolara. Međutim, da bi opravdali cijenu od 10 EUR po osobi daleko više sadržaja moraju dodati. Takođe, silazak u nekadašnji zatvor je prosto nemoguć zbog klizavih stepenica. Zaposleni su mladi ljudi, ali totalno nezainteresivani da upute turiste u istorijat i značaj tvrđave. U sklopu je i bar (restoran) koji nisam posjetio, kao i suvenirnica.

Der Weg zur Festung ist sehr steil und führt über Treppen und schöne kleine Gassen hoch zur Anlage. Das bitte unbedingt beachten. Für Liebhaber solcher Festungen ein Muss - für den Rest ist es ausreichend die Festung auch von außen zu betrachten und durch den Garten zu gehen, welcher an der Festung entlang führt. Innen gibt es nicht viel zu sehen. Erwähnenswert ist der tolle Ausblick, wenn man einmal oben angekommen ist. Auf jeden Fall eher morgens und nicht in der Mittagssonne den Aufstieg tätigen😅

Una visita obligada en Hvar La fortaleza española (Tvrdava Španjola) es uno de los puntos más icónicos de Hvar y sin dudas vale la subida. El camino se hace caminando desde el centro en unos 15-20 minutos, con escaleras y rampas rodeadas de vegetación. La entrada cuesta unas pocas kunas/euros y permite acceder al interior de la fortaleza, que está muy bien conservada. Las vistas desde la cima son espectaculares: se ve todo el casco antiguo, el puerto, y las islas Pakleni al fondo. Ideal para ir con tiempo, sacar fotos y quedarse un rato disfrutando. También hay un pequeño museo y una cafetería dentro, por si querés tomar algo o descansar. Recomendable ir al atardecer, cuando la luz es más suave y el paisaje se vuelve aún más mágico. Llevar agua si vas en verano, porque el sol pega fuerte. En resumen: historia, naturaleza y panorámicas en un solo lugar. Imperdible.

A must visit when in Hvar. Make sure you wear comfy walking shoes. The pathway is fairly flat with small pebbles. If you get tired going part way up, there are seats along the way plus there’s a small store to buy water and cold drinks. From the top, the view of Hvar is spectacular as you can see the islands nearby. At the top, there’s a dining area for drinks and food plus a couple of gift stores with handmade crafts. There’s even a prison. The admission to the fortress is 10 Euros for adults. If it’s not within your budget, there are a few photo opts part way up. I would have loved seeing the sunset here.
