Konoba Jastožera is situated near a historic fortress and offers breathtaking views of the sea. For our guests arriving by boat, we provide a sea entrance allowing for direct access to our tavern. Additionally, we offer berthing facilities for yachts and small boats, making it convenient to enjoy a sumptuous meal with us.
Rich History
The establishment's legacy dates back to the vision of an Italian customs officer, Balicco, who laid the foundation for lobster breeding in 1883. The facility has been a vital part of the region's history, recognized for its ability to store and transport live lobsters across Europe.

I made a reservation for 9:00 PM and we arrived on time at 8:50 PM with three small children. We waited 40 minutes without any solution, while other people were seated at our reserved table. In the end, the manager EDO (completely unprepared) tried to “solve” the situation in the most absurd way: by improvising a “table” in the middle of a corridor, where clearly no table was supposed to exist. Total lack of organization and respect for customers. A shameful experience _______ Rezervirali smo stol za 21:00 i stigli točno u 20:50 s troje male djece. Čekali smo 40 minuta bez rješenja, dok su drugi ljudi bili smješteni za naš rezervirani stol. Na kraju je menadžer EDO (potpuno nepripremljen) pokušao "riješiti" situaciju na apsurdan način: improvizirao je “stol” usred hodnika, gdje očito nije bilo predviđeno mjesto za sjedenje. Potpuni nedostatak organizacije i poštovanja prema gostima. Sramotno iskustvo.

Perched directly over the water, the restaurant offers a unique setting — we were seated by an open window with the sea just below us, creating an unforgettable ambiance. The gentle sound of the waves and the salty breeze made the whole experience immersive and truly Dalmatian. The food? Outstanding. I had grilled squid and lobster, and they were among the best I’ve ever tasted. The squid were perfectly charred on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside — full of flavor, with just the right touch of smokiness from the grill. The lobster was a highlight: freshly caught from a cage right beside the restaurant. You can literally pick the one you want, making the whole experience both personal and authentic. Grilled to perfection, it was rich, succulent, and bursting with natural sweetness — a far cry from the overcooked lobster you sometimes get elsewhere. You can tell this place doesn’t just aim to feed tourists; it’s run with heart, tradition, and respect for the sea. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy truly fresh seafood in a setting that feels magical, Konoba Jastožera is absolutely worth the trip. A 10/10 experience — both on the plate and all around it. At sidde der i og få så dejlig mad og kigge ud over havet - det glemmer vi aldrig. Jeg valgte en “lille” hummer (de andre var gigantiske) som blev tilberedt på det hyggelige grillsted. Venligt og uformel stemning. Rart at se at personalet omgikkes hinanden på en rar måde. Her kommer vi gerne igen.

Excellent food, place and especially excellent staff. We were a large group, but few of us arrived to the restaurant by small boat, we parked directly in the restaurant as it has an entrance directly from the sea. We ordered lobsters in few different flavors and it was perfection. For the wine, my recommendation is Vugava, a local white wine. Overall, if you are in Komiza, definitely an recommendation.
