Perhaps no better end of the tourist walk in the center of Ljubljana and the Caste itself. Menu is really short, but that's an advantage actually. We took the 3-wine tasting together with the selection of cold cuts. Wines were of very pleasant and the food as well. Very stylish place.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience at this restaurant. The menu is absolutely non sense - you can choose between 3, 4, 5 or 6 dishes. However, your cannot freely choose what to eat. For the 4 course menu (which is more than enough) you can basically only choose which appetizer you want (beef tongue or trout) and the main (again trout or pork). We asked if it was possible to get something different (like the risotto or deer) but the waiter said that we could have them only in combination with the 6 course menu. What about people that want to have a normal meal and choose between 4/5 dished instead of only two and avoid food waste? The food we had was very good, so 2 stars instead of 1.

Their service and the food in this restaurant is exceptional. I was amazed how helpful and caring they were as soon as you tell them that you have allergies and how willing they are to adjust their menu and still their food remains amazing.
