One of the staff members was very rude to myself and my two friends. We had a reservation for 8pm and when we arrived were told that they had “finished for the day” even though they were still serving others. We are three young females and feel we were judged based on this and deemed not worthy of their restaurant. The rude waiter ignored us after I said we had a reservation and I had to approach the other waiter who was very nice. Having looked at the other reviews I can see that there is a bit of a theme. I’d definitely avoid this restaurant as it doesn’t even have any good views, you sit in the castle courtyard. We ultimately decided not to eat here as the waiter was very rude.

Waiter was rude as soon as we approached the restaurant and told us they were no longer serving at 8pm even though we had a booking. He proceeded to ignore us. We spoke to another waiter who was welcoming and led us to a table instantly. However after some thought we decided to leave as we are three females and felt judged. As we left we explained we were leaving because the initial waiter was rude and they proceeded to argue in front of us which felt unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend.

Gostilna na Gradu Gostilna na Grada ist ein sehr gutes und leckeres Restaurant. Die Gänge sind sehr gut. Die Vorspeise ein Tatar aus der Region war sehr gut und bleibt mir immernoch im Kopf. Der Hauptgang war leider ein bisschen schlechter man hat ein Schwein serviert bekommen, welches nicht besonders war. Der Service war sehr gut und hatte sehr gutes ausgeprägtes Wissen über die Weinbegleitung. Das Ambiente war sehr schön man saß auf dem Hof der Burg und hatte einen Ausblick über den ganzen Hof.

Sehr sehr gutes, auf den Punkt gekochtes Essen, das Ambiente stimmt perfekt und die Bedienungen sind wie man sie sich vorstellt. Ein Gang durch das Restaurant ist Pflicht. Das Lokal liegt in der burg und das Bauwerk ist beeindruckend. Jederzeit wieder

Slovenian specialities made with great care and skill. Nice outdoor patio in the castle courtyard. Attentive and friendly service. Take the funicular up, walk around the magnificent castle, and relax here when you've had enough of sightseeing.

We had a fantastic lunch menu for €25 (2 course meal). Every meal was masterfully presented and very flavourful. The red pepper soup and trout with buckwheat were the spotlights. Super attentive service and fantastic surroundings.

Heavy rain was approaching but we were sent away that just getting a beer is not alowed here, only with food. The restaurant was empty btw. Really nice arrogant staff here.
