The atmosphere is excellent, but the burgers are made from ground sausage meat😖. A 25 euro burger with no resemblance of beef flavor or textures.

I wanted to share a disappointing experience that occurred upon our arrival yesterday evening, in the hope that it may be addressed appropriately. We arrived somewhat late and, after quickly freshening up, my family (myself, my husband, our young child, and infant) headed to one of the restaurants recommended by your staff for a quick dinner. It was around 10:15 PM, and we had checked online to confirm the restaurant’s listed closing time of 11:00 PM. I went ahead with my son while my husband followed with the stroller. Upon approaching the server and politely asking if we could still have a quick dinner, I was met with an unwelcoming look that made me quite uncomfortable. I understand we were not dressed formally—we had just traveled, showered quickly, and wore casual clothes (jeans, shirt, sandals)—but we were presentable and simply hoping for a warm welcome. The server then walked over to a colleague, whispered something, and shortly after, one of them came back and informed us that the kitchen was closed. At this point, the restaurant still had several guests seated, and it was only 10:15 PM—well within the listed operating hours. I had also mentioned to them that we had just arrived and were hoping for a quick meal after a long journey. Unfortunately, the interaction left us feeling judged based on appearance, which is deeply disappointing, especially at a hotel of your standard. Being turned away in that manner, while clearly other guests were still being served, was disheartening and not the welcome we had anticipated. We sincerely hope the rest of our stay will reflect the hospitality and reputation we chose Sun Gardens Dubrovnik for.
