The hostel itself is very nice, the DJs at the bar were very good along with the sound quality. The staff are friendly. However the only aspect of the hostel I did not like is the pub crawls. This is due to the person organising is, Matic. He was very unprofessional as he had sex with one of the girls joining the pub crawl in a bush. On top of this he would often force people to pay for the pub crawl even if they weren't part of it, e.g. if some people just happened to be at the same bar at the same time that the group of the hostel were doing the pub crawl.

There is no A/C. I've read through some reviews now and see this has come up before, and the Hostel responded saying that the building is historic and they cant modify the exterior appearance. While I understand this there is absolutely no reason that there are no fans in the rooms. If there cannot be A/C there needs to be fans the head in the bunk rooms makes moving around immediately uncomfortable and sleeping impossible.

A lovely clean Hostel with friendly staff near the centre of Ljubljana, offering cheap drink. The pub crawl is also excellent offering a lot of opportunities to meet new people in good locations.

I found a slug and others insect under my bed. Also got dust and dirt on my bed when I arrived There’s no privacy in the dorms (a little curtain at least could be great)

I enjoyed my time staying at this hostel. Good for socializing with other travelers. It is hot inside the rooms even with window open. MATIC(organizing the pubcrawl) made big difference with his good vibe. See u next year bro.

Bon emplacement, pas trop loin du centre ! Concert sympa au rdc, réceptionnistes au top. Heureusement qu'il y avait un ventilateur dans la chambre car à 8 en plein été il fait très chaud. Propreté OK 👌🏻 De plus, il manque dans les douches un espace où poser ses affaires car un crochet à la porte ne suffit pas... L'hostel est sur plusieurs étages donc je trouve que cela manque un peu de convivialité car c'est très grand ! Toutefois je recommande si c'est pour 1 ou 2 nuits, au 4eme étage on n'entend pas du tout le bar musical du bas donc c'est top !

I REALLY DON'T RECOMMEND THIS HOSTEL. My friend and I chose this hostel based on the photos. We wanted a hostel where there could be other young people, a good atmosphere and music. Apparently the hostel provides all this, but at what price. The rooms were disgusting, outdated, the bedsheets were dirty, the windows couldn't be closed, it was impossible to sleep because of the extreme heat. There were drunk strangers sleeping on couches in the hall, bathrooms for both sexes, no privacy, dirt everywhere, toilets in a terrible state, smelly, some vomited, others covered with excrement. The door was keyed, but all it would take was a little bit and if someone tried, they could get into the room. Service ok, nice, but everything else awful. I read a review here that someone brought bugs, so I hope that won't be our case.

We had a problem in our stay. We made the reservation for a private room like 4 months ago, and when we arrived at the hostel they were not able to find our reservation, although we had the confirmation E-mail with all the information. They didn’t give us any solutions, we had to leave the hostel or stay in a room with more people for the same price that we were going to pay for the private room. Since the prices were too high in every other hostel because we had to make a reservation for the same night, we had no other option but to stay in the room. And when we sent a mail to explain the situation and ask for a refund, we didn’t get an answer. Bad service.

Great hostel if you are looking for a fun place to stay and party with your friends! The facilities could be a little cleaner, but overall, we had a good experience. The highlight was definitely the pub crawls with Matic;)

Not necessarily a bad hostel but prepare to be super hot in the rooms, no AC or fans available even when advertised on a Monday night with not many people on the floor. It was probably 65 F outside and 80+ F in the room. If it was cheaper, it would have been worth it. Lots of activities available for solo travelers! Would be 4 stars if it was not as expensive as a hotel room. Also no wifi in the rooms so be prepared.

Stayed for two nights. My partner got bites all over his back and up to his face. Went to doctors as some got pretty bad and they said they’re bed bug bites. (Do have a video but not letting me upload) Rooms were okay other than the bugs. Large room with big lockers under the bed. Was on top floors and didn’t hear much music. Other than loud drunk people. But it’s a party hostel so. Bathrooms are what you’d expect for the price and amount of people. The people at reception were a bit grumpy but also what you’d expect from working there. Kitchen was lacking and dirty. No one really washed their dishes. Definitely not worth the price.

EDITING REVIEW BASED ON HOSTEL Zzz RESPONSE. “The fans ARE provided, you can find 5 of them on each floor of the hostel - you can also take it into the room. It is possible that someone took more than one, so you did not notice them - you should go down to the reception and ask about it, we would be happy to let you know where you can get one.” The above comment left in their response to my review is INACCURATE information provided by the hostel. NO Fans were provided during the time we were staying there. Not ONE fan could be found on our floor or on any other floor. People staying in dorm rooms were leaving the doors open to try and create a draft to sleep through the heat as there were NO fans. Additionally, we saw the staff cleaning other rooms on our floor and there were NO fans in any of those rooms. So nobody took the 5 fans for the floor into a room. We saw stories on their Instagram page of the staff assembling fans AFTER we left the hostel. Additionally, if fans are apparently provided why was this never mentioned by anyone at the front desk when checking in? Why was this information NOT provided in the hostel booklet left in the room. Therefore, guests are supposed to just assume there should be fans? ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW: Would NOT recommend staying here. We have stayed in numerous hostels throughout Europe and South America and this was the WORST hostel we have stayed in. Wifi did not work and rooms were incredibly hot. We checked out a night early (only stayed 4 nights instead of 5) because we were so miserable. We would have left sooner but they refused to refund us. We had a private room that overlooked the courtyard below with no AC. We understand that there is no AC as it is an old building but it was the middle of summer and the hostel did not even provide a fan. The sun baked our room throughout the day making it feel like a sauna. We left the windows open to help try and bring in some cool air to no avail. This resulted in multiple sleep-less nights as the room was so hot and stuffy. Fans were NOT provided during the time of our stay The wifi also did not work the entire time we stayed there so we had to hotspot our laptops to get any work done. The wifi should work on every floor when rooms are almost 60 euro a night. It is not a social hostel, they do not organize any activities for people to meet. The whatsapp group chat was barely used so don't even bother joining it. If you want to meet other travelers and enjoy the city, would not recommend staying here.

Horrible experience, would not recommend! We stayed here for 2 nights on our three week inter railing trip around Europe and it was by far the worst hostel we stayed in. Upon arrival the male receptionist was extremely rude and the room was unbearably hot to sleep in with no AC. The bed was dirty and didn’t have a flat sheet. The locker under the bed was very difficult to get in and out of as it had no drawer. The shared toilet and shower room were filthy and the shower didn’t even have a stand, you had to hold it in your hand whilst washing! The pub crawl was alright but the hostel bar wasn’t cheap compared to other hostels we’d stayed in. Would not recommend anyone to stay here!
