Llevo 20 años viajando y probablemente esta ha sido la peor compañía con la que he alquilado coche. Te intentan engañar constantemente para cobrar suplementos de todo tipo. Cuidado con ellos. El más divertido uno por limpieza, devolví el coche limpio pero decían que tenía un poco de polvo. Muy malas formas. Suerte con ellos si alquilas.

Not a very welcoming attendant at the desk, and a very picky one who handled the car. When we returned the car they tried to charge us for small scratches that had been on the car before we got it. They all had a very suspicious and unfriendly approach, like they wanted to create trouble for us… At pick-up we had to pay extra for the car to be cleaned - I have never experienced that before… Will not recommend Avia Dubrovnik to anyone - we will certainly not use them again.

Je suis très très déçu d'avoir loué une voiture chez Avia à Dubrovnik. Lorsque nous l'avons récupérée, il nous a été demandé 9€ en plus de frais de lavage et 50€ en plus car nous prendrions le ferry pour aller sur une île en Croatie. Le problème principal a été au retour, il y avait une micro rayure de moins de 2 cm sur un enjoliveur et nous avons dû payer en plus 323€. Ça fait cher le cm. Cela a complètement gâché la fin de nos vacances et nous a fait perdre 30 minutes avant de prendre l'avion. En plus nous avons oublié notre support de téléphone portable dans la voiture. J'ai demandé comment je pouvais le récupérer. Je n'ai jamais eu de réponse. Bref nous sommes partis déçus de ce séjour en Croatie. Je vous conseille de choisir une autre compagnie. Mais surtout pas Avia.

This was the worst experience of my life. Upon returning the car, they told me I had to pay several hundred euros extra because I had driven to Montenegro. I had taken full coverage insurance, and someone had damaged my side mirror. Yet, when I returned the car to the agency, they wanted to charge me over €1,000, even though I had taken full insurance to avoid this kind of issue. They tried to add extra fees here and there. The agency doesn’t accept returns at all hours, so plan accordingly with your flight, otherwise they will find extra fees to charge you. Avoid this agency — they try to scam people when they’re under stress to make them pay as much as possible.

To avoid !!! I paid the triple price as I should , the insurance guarentee is more extensive than the renting car . 200 for the car ( that I paid online) than when you arriving you have to paid 250 for the insurance 125 to cross the border and 80 euros to give back the car because they are not always open and mostly closed at the departure flights time. So a total of 655 euros paid for what seemed an attractive price of 200 euros for 1 week . Nothing was written on the voucher even if they saying the opposite . The price of the insurance is crazy ( a third party inssurance was 4,5 times cheaper and with less conditions to apply it ) . After a long flight and on a. First day on vacation knowing that you have already paid in advance the location , they are taking it as an advantage because they know everyone doesn’t want to look for a new agency again at the arrival and changed all their plans. So yes the fact that we signed for it doesn’t obviously mean that it was a good services and that we are happy with it . Sometimes we just don’t want to make things complicate unfortunately

My first time renting a car in Croatia. Through no fault of my own my flight was delayed by nearly two hours, so despite having booked to pick up the car within the working hours I was obviously late. Despite this being outside my control I was charged an extra 40 euros for an out of hours pick up fee which I do feel should have been waived under the circumstances. The car was a very basic Kia but it did the job. The other charge that was not mentioned anywhere when I booked through DiscoverCars was that if you want to take the car on a ferry there is another additional charge of 50 euros. The staff tried to tell me this was in DiscoverCars paperwork but then could not find it themselves. Also you must absolutely have a credit card, I rent cars on a very regular basis in other european countries and they are always fine to put a hold on my debit card for the deposit amount despite saying it must be a credit card, please be aware that is not the case here. I know it says this in the paperwork but I have never encountered the issue before. If you only have debit cards you well need to pay for full insurance coverge. Overall not a great rental expirience. (I have included the terms and conditions I was sent)

Boek zeker de auto op voorhand. Prijs ligt vele hoger aan de luchthaven. Bij het begin vragen ze jou om een video te maken van de auto. Doe dit zeker grondig. Neem alle schade aan de auto goed op in de video. Achteraf proberen ze de schade aan jou toe te kennen. Dit moet je dus kunnen aantonen met je video. Ga je niet in de buurt van de luchthaven tanken, neem zeker de rekening van je tankbeurt mee. Hier proberen ze jou ook nog iets voor aan te rekenen als ze denken dat je niet vol hebt getankt. Auto was in orde en reed vlot.

Avia is the Airbnb of car rentals - in all the bad ways. Cleaning fee and attempt to claim for pre-exisiting damages. We booked through Discovercars.com. The voucher we received from them states "The vehicle must be returned in an acceptably clean condition in order to avoid additional charges" This sounds standard until you pick up car and it is explained that "acceptably clean" means ready to rent to next customer without having any further cleaning. This is not the industry standard and should be made explicitly clear at time of booking rather than on pick up. The car we received had major damage to bonnet and chassis. When we returned the car the staff member said this wasn't listed on the form and we had to prove this was pre-existing through the video we had taken in order to avoid being charged. The staff member apologised for their mistake but you are left wondering if it really was a mistake and how much we would have been out of pocket if our video hadn't clearly showed the damage. In any case their systems should be more robust to avoid this type of "mistake".

Echt onwijs vriendelijk personeel en snel geholpen. We kwamen aan, en zonder te wachten werden we meteen geholpen. Binnen 5 minuten was alles geregeld en konden we met een mooie auto zo wegrijden😁

Not good, started with a lot of struggles with the credit card you apparently are supposed to have when you pay. Ended up paying 250 euros for insurance.We had booked a skoda and ended up with a small Kia witch we almost could not fit our luggage in. The workers are not service minded and quite rude. Then we had to pay a fee of 50 euros to the company when we went on a ferry to an island. At last when we came back we had to pay a fee of 12 euros for not having the car cleaned. 1 the car was clean and 2 what car rental company charges for the car being not clean? Overall a lot of fees that are not mentioned. Rude and not service minded staff. Unfortunately I do not recommend.

Bardzo miłe Panie które są znawczyniami tematu uszkodzeń samochodów. W tym przypadku uszkodzeniem był klej do opon który wypłynął na kołpak oraz zaciek na zakurzonym czarnym aucie. Mimo że trzeba było wykupic sprzątanie auta, to nie można oddać zakurzonego. Cała sytuacja bardzo nerwowa. NIE POLECAM. Dołaczam zdjęcie z czyszczenia kołpakow mokra chusteczka

Reservierung online über Check24 hat gut geklappt, auch die Abholung und das finden vom Office war gut. Bei der Abholung mussten wir noch 125€ zahlen, da wir über Bosnien nach Montenegro gefahren sind. Obwohl online im vertrag diese Länder inkludiert waren. Bei der Rückgabe mussten wir 12€ zahlen, da wir das Auto nicht gereinigt zurückgegeben haben. Das Auto war normal verstaubt. Kein großer dreck. Innen war alles normal sauber. Kein Sand, Dreck, Müll oder ähnliches. Reine abzocke. Bei welchem anständigen Vermieter muss man das Mietauto gereinigt auf Hochglanz abgeben? Hier würde ich nicht mehr mieten.

Great rental company. Found them through Discover Cars. The car was clean and fairly new. We were helped quickly, and the staff member wasn’t pushy about extras or insurance. When returning the car, we were also helped quickly and everything was handled efficiently. I would definitely rent a car from Avia again.

Easy to deal with. Received a brand new car. We were a bit surprised by the €125 fee for driving outside the EU. Not sure if this is the same for other car rental companies and the €9 fee for cleaning was a bit unusual. But no issues with the car or service. Would rent from them again
