A beautiful and meaningful monument nestled in the peaceful surroundings of Kalemegdan Park. The statue is impressive, and the path leading up to it is well-maintained and lined with manicured greenery. It's a great spot for reflection and a short, scenic walk. Highly recommended if you're visiting Belgrade!

In Veliki Kalemegdan, superato l'ingresso di Ulica Pariska, quasi alla fine del viale principale svetta il maestoso Monumento di Gratitudine alla Francia, una scultura del 1930, opera di Ivan Maeštrović: essa manifesta la riconoscenza del popolo jugoslavo per l'aiuto prestato dalla Francia durante la Grande Guerra. Oggi al seguito dei bombardamenti del 1999 da parte della NATO, a cui ha aderito anche la Francia, la statua è molto... Controversa
