One of the most famous viewpoints in Belgrade is located within Kalemegdan Fortress, near the Pobednik (The Victor) Monument. This spot offers a stunning panoramic view of the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers, making it one of the most scenic and historically significant areas in the city.
Situated in the old town district of Stari Grad, the viewpoint is especially popular at sunset, attracting both locals and tourists. From here, visitors can enjoy a clear view of New Belgrade (Novi Beograd) across the rivers.
The area also features several cafes and restaurants, allowing guests to relax while taking in the breathtaking scenery. It’s considered a must-visit location for anyone exploring Belgrade.

The Belgrade Waterfront is a truly impressive and ambitious urban renewal project that’s transforming the city’s skyline and riverside experience. Stretching along the right bank of the Sava River, this modern development blends nature, architecture, and city life in a refreshing and unique way.
One of the main highlights is the walking path along the river spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with ample seating, greenery, and stunning views of both the water and the city. It’s ideal for a morning jog, an evening stroll, or just relaxing with a coffee while watching the sunset over the Sava.
The area is surrounded by stylish new buildings, including the iconic Kula Belgrade tower, hotels, restaurants, cafes, and Galerija the largest shopping mall in Southeast Europe. Although the project is still underway, the completed sections already reflect a modern and vibrant addition to Belgrade.
What makes it even more fascinating is the historical depth from the revitalization of the Savamala neighborhood to future cultural institutions like the Historical Museum of Serbia, and the transformation of old industrial sites into creative and innovation hubs.
Though still evolving, the Belgrade Waterfront is fast becoming a new urban center and is definitely an exciting area to explore when in the city.
