Shambala je več kot azijska restavracija. Razlog za to se verjetno skriva v dejstvu, da pripravljamo najboljši tajski curry v mestu, delno pa tudi v tem, da smo mojstri povezovanja okusov. Nekatere naše jedi so zato pristno in tradicionalno azijske, druge pa lahko imenujemo ‘fusion’ (čeprav nam ta beseda sploh ni všeč, a boljše zaenkrat še nismo našli).

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend mit tollen und interessanten Essen. Wir können die Vorspeisenplatte für 2 und die mit Zitronengras marinierten Hühnchen nur empfehlen. Wir würden nur die Menge an Süßkartoffelchips um 2/3 reduzieren und dafür mehr Gemüse oder ein raffiniertes Püree z.B. aus Süßkartoffeln und Sellerie dazu reichen. Grandios wurde der Abend auch durch ein Konzert in den benachbarten Križanke, wo ein Konzert einer Queen Tribute Band stattfand und dem wir sehr gut lauschen konnten.

My food was okay. Not great. The portion was a bit small for me. For the price tag I would expect a bit more. Others were not very happy with their food as well, unfortunately. The atmosphere is nice. The major factor for only 3 stars though is the waiting time. We waited for ages, alltogether more than 3 hours for the whole service. I would expect the waiter to come and tell us beforehand if they were understaffed or something. All in all this restaurant has a lot of potential, the food looked delicious, although the flavour could be improved (at least on most of the stuff we got today). If the wait times are improved, Id consider coming again and giving it another go.(and if the prices were a bit less perhaps)

Great place in the city centre on probably the best street in Ljubljana. The place has a very intimate and lilovely atmosphere. The summer garden is amazing. Staff is super courteous and fast. Excellent chef producing excellent food. It has a good value for money.

Muy por debajo de las expectativas para un lugar de la supuesta categoría y precio. De hecho sorprende altamente que esté recomendado por Michelin. Quizá en agosto el personal de cocina no sea el habitual…pero fue una comida que en ningún caso recomendaría ni casi a la mitad del precio pagado. Jardín trasero agradable aunque con ruido de circulación de coches.

The food tastes great. Pleasant ambience, really wonderful terrace. The service was friendly, but we waited an hour and a half for the food. In the end they apologized to us profusely - maybe with such a crowd they would have told us right away that it would be necessary to wait for food so long. It disturbed us, it is a good thing that I was in good company and this time was still well used.
