In a few visits, Mali Bar has become my favorite restaurant in Zagreb. It is a rare thing to be able to serve humble and yet creative food and this is what we get every time in this place. The chef and the staff offers fresh and modern cuisine and some dishes with a little twist for the adventurous at heart (like me) whether it be olives in a dessert or even an croissant infused purée next to a steak, there is always a great idea and the perfect execution. I honestly wish I could eat there every week. Great location, great vibe and friendly staff. What else could we ask for ? I hope they keep going with the same philosophy for a very long time.

It can be preferred for a pleasant dinner, but don't set your expectations too high. I suggest you don't go without a reservation. You may have to sit outside. We preferred beef. You can easily fill up with 2 extra appetizers (2 people)

"Savršen bistro s okusom Mediterana i Hrvatske!" Mali Bar je jedno od mojih omiljenih mjesta u Zagrebu. Svojim jelovnikom, Ana Ugarković donosi savršenu kombinaciju hrvatskih i mediteranskih okusa. Svaki zalogaj bio je pun okusa, a posebno bih istaknula plodove mora koji su svježi i iznimno dobro pripremljeni. Atmosfera bistroa je opuštena, ali s elegancijom koja pruža ugodno iskustvo za svaki posjet. Osoblje je ljubazno i uvijek spremno preporučiti neko jelo koje će odgovarati vašem ukusu. Preporučujem da probate rižoto s plodovima mora, koji je bio fenomenalan! Preporučujem: rižoto, bilo koje jelo s plodovima mora i domaće vino. Nećete požaliti!

I usually love this place but the food this time round wasnt as good. And the waiter was super unintrested in serving us or talking to us. Maybe he wasnt in the mood that day, but I get more enthusiasm from badly paid students working as cashiers in a grocery store :/

This was my FavTopPlace one and only in my city and As of today…i am so sorry but the food is no good. Service and atmosphere is awesome as always. Food has no more personal touch…it’s just 😏. Food is too salty, harsh. I’ve been eating here for a very long time…..Ana we miss you. If you continue this road, u will b the history very soon. I am so sorry to say that but today you convinced me to not come back.

Izvanredan restoran! Ugodno sam iznenađen cijelim iskustvom. Hrana je vrhunska, porcije su izdašne, ambijent lijep, a osoblje ljubazno i uslužno. Cijene su više nego prihvatljive. Jeo sam bavette na žaru s kremom od kroasana, šparogama i maslacem od kave – meso je bilo savršeno pripremljeno i izuzetno ukusno. Za desert sam odabrao baškotin od limuna i maka s kremom od limuna, koji je također bio fantastičan. Sve preporuke, jedva čekam ponovno doći!

Had dinner here with 3 friends, we shared some appetizers and then ordered main dishes. There is some difference between meal sizes, for instance my lasagna looked like half a portion, and was indeed too small for one person. On the other hand my friend was struggling to finish his meat meal, as it was too big. In general good is good, but nothing special. Service was very good, fast and professional. Make sure you book table in advance as the place gets packed in the evening. Prices are acceptable, as these days everything is expensive in Zagreb. Good wine selection but pricey
