Konoba Menego - Autentična Dalmacija u Srcu Hvara
Konoba Menego smještena je u slikovitom starom dijelu grada Hvara, poznatom kao Groda. Ova jedinstvena konoba otvorila je svoja vrata 1999. godine, a svake godine dočekuje goste od 1. travnja do 1. studenog.
Održavanje Tradicije
Prostor u kojem se nalazi konoba ima bogatu povijest; pripadao je majčinoj obitelji Karković-Trentin. Nakon temeljite obnove, koja je otkrila novčić iz 14. stoljeća u zidu, konoba je oživjela tradiciju ugostiteljstva koja datira kroz generacije. Dida Dinko, poznati vinar, bio je ključna figura u povijesti ovog mjesta, gdje su njegovi kupci dolazili sa cijelog otoka Hvara kako bi uživali u njegovim vinima.

A nice place in the center of Hvar with Croatian village vibe, the food was nice but every fish-related dish felt like it was soaped in lemon juice (tbh can see that with the amount of lemon/lime trees all around the city), staff was welcoming, but the old man with prosciutto on the entrence gave us unwelcoming looks(●__●)

We’ve been there in August 2025, and we got a “boar prepared in a hounting mode” and a “fish fillet dalmatia”. The first plate was ok, the fish portion was absolutely ridiculous for the price. Basically, an appetizer. Of course we will not be back again.

You feel the authenticity from the first step you take into this little restaurant. The staff is amazing, very nice and helpful and funny even. The food is the best in all of Hvar by far. Highly recommend

If you’re looking for traditional Croatian food from a family-run local business and friendly service - I would highly recommend coming here! We shared three dishes and they were all delicious, had a beautiful spot in their cosy atmospheric space and amazing (affordable) wine. Definitely recommend if you’re in Hvar!

Velicina obroka je kriminalno mala, a furaju se na “tradicionalno i domace”. Ove ostale recenzije u kojima hvale cijene su ili stare ili su laž. Konobari nude dodatne stvari tipa pogaca/kruh (2 tostirana kruha - okus pizzete 12€); srecom da smo ih narucili jer bismo od samog “glavnog jela” ostali gladni (sto i ovako skoro pa jesmo). Uz riblji file, posluzene su 3 kriske tikvice, 2 kriske krumpira i 3-4 kriske paprike. Jedino sto je bilo dobro je limunada. Da sumiram: Rucak za dvije osobe 73€, bez salate i bez predjela (poluprazan želudac). Realna cijena: 20€.

If you're looking for excellent Croatian food with exceptional service in a unique and cozy atmosphere, this is the place! The owners are welcoming and helpful, it's family run and they have a lot of (well deserved) pride in their restaurant. The food was perfectly cooked with exceptional flavor and variety. The vegetables were the best I had the whole trip and we came back to eat here again because our first visit was so exceptional.

Ich war hier mit meiner Freundin, die Kroatin ist. Unglaublich lecker und mindestens genauso wichtig, extrem freundliche Bedienungen und generell ein toller Service. Das Ambiente sieht man so auch selten, sehr schön. All in all, 5 von 5 ohne Diskussionen! Danke für das Erlebnis.

Incredibly cozy place, all the food and wine was home made, the servers were personable and friendly, and we somehow got the best 2-person seat above the stairs. If you're looking for something local, cozy and well thought out food, this is the spot. The olive oil and sun dried tomatoes are next level. There's a little cat that gets lots of love, too.

Konoba Menego is a little restaurant up the steps towards the castle above Hvar. But it’s well worth the walk up. The food is traditional, and very tasty. One of the telling factors was the number of people who, like us, were prepared to walk up. The prices are also a little more reasonable than some in Hvar. My husband had the boar, which was excellent, while I opted for the traditional stuffed peppers. For us, this was one of the little gems and we really enjoyed our meal.

Fuimos a cenar sin reserva, y me atendió un señor muy agradable q en 5 minutos nos hizo pasar a una mesa, antes nos había dado unos cojines para la espera, un gran detalle. Es una taberna con la comida típica así que si te gusta probar te lo recomiendo..tanto por el ambiente como por la comida y el vino de casa. El los postres tienen un variado que es recomendable ya que vienen varios y así puedes probar más cositas, hay como un bizcocho de naranja que está muy muy bueno. Pero ojo!! Que hay que pagar en efectivo!
