Absolutely amazing! What an experience! Authentic dining in HVAR at this wonderful, family owned konoba preparing delicious specialties “under the bell” style slow cooked meat and seafood dishes, among other delicious menu options . Beautiful garden like setting and great service ! Absolutely must visit while you in Hvar . We had salad , appetizers and slow cooked lamb with delicious house wine .

Rustica taverna nelle campagne di Hvar, accoglie gli ospiti la gallina del nome con il suo pulcino. Ci è stata raccomandata da amici per la peka di polpo (che occorre prenotare almeno con un giorno di anticipo) e non siamo rimasti delusi. Polpo tenerissimo e gustosissimo, una ricetta tipica e particolare. Teo, l'oste, ci ha anche omaggiati di una grappa come aperitivo e del dolce. Se si è sull'isola, almeno una sera bisogna cenare qui.

A perfect combination of a laid back experience mixed with traditional Mediterranean cuisine. House wine is also great. Sitting in the garden feels magical! Make sure to order in advance if you want to try traditional peka. Bring cash, cards are not accepted.

Highly recommend getting the peka - have to order 3 hours in advance but well worth it Hosts were really lovely and attentive, welcomed us with a bottle of rakija on the house 12/10 favourite spot in Hvar

This was a magical experience—a taxi ride from Stari Grad through the ancient field to find an open-air restaurant with rakija waiting on the table. We had the octopus peka—order a few days in advance! It was outstanding and beautiful! If you’re going, bring cash—no cards. But GO! It’s an unforgettable evening.

Będąc na wyspie Hvar koniecznie trzeba odwiedzić to miejsce. Przeeepyszna peka z ośmiornicą. Wizyta tutaj to coś wyjątkowego.

We had chicken at Konoba Kokot today. Our guide ordered it two hours in advance. We were the only customers in the restaurant at 1:30pm. The chicken was over cooked, the potatoes were burned, the carrots were mush, and the zucchini was unrecognizable. There was at least a cup of oil on the metal plate/pan. Service was brusk. Dessert was called flan but seemed more like cold scrambled eggs, solidified, and topped with a light cold tasteless syrup over it. Not an experience I want to repeat.

A great place for traditional Croatian meal. The food was incredible! We had the veal peka, which you need to order 7 hours in advance, in order for it to be ready to eat at your reservation time. The potatoes, carrot and zucchini were so flavorful. It’s worth the wait. The restaurant is very unique in its location and surroundings. Don’t miss this hidden treasure in the Stari Grad area.
