Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben wunderbar gegessen. Alles selbst gemacht und traditionell gekocht, herrlich. Wunderschöner Ort! Wir werden bei der nächsten Reise in den Süden einen extra Stopp einlegen, um wieder heir essen zu dürfen!

YOU MUST RESERVE AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE!!! What a wonderful and unique dining experience! The location is just stunning, and even though it's on the mountain, access by car is fairly easy. The dining experience costs 60€ p.p. all-inclusive (food (choose between 3 menus in advance), dessert, water, juices, wine, and liqueurs). Except for the main dish, she offered us refills of everything, including dessert — a delicious, fresh Apfelstrudelthat she prepared herself that same day. You will be received by the gracious host as if you were dining at her home. There is a variety of liqueurs homemade by her from local grappa as an aperitif. You can taste as many as you want. After that, you will be shown to your table where you will receive a cheese and ham platter, with olives and homemade bread as appetizer, as well as the drinks—we had sparkling water, red and white wine. Then, before the main dish is served, you are invited to go to the cooking area, where the cook (her husband) explains how the dish is cooked and a little bit of the history of this traditional dish, and answers any questions. After the main dish and dessert are served, you are welcomed to stay at the property as long as you like and have another glass of wine or liqueur, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. They only book the tables once per night, so there is no rush :) All in all, a wonderful dining experience full of local flavors, food history, and amazing local people that do everything with heart. We were just two adults, but the whole place is definitely child-friendly, with plenty of space to run and play. They also host weddings ;) Just go and experience it for yourself.

Izletište Koraćevo is a real gem of a place. Found a short ride from the village of Orašac just off the main costal road to Dubrovnik. It is an oasis in the hills above Orašac surrounded by forests and vineyards, it’s calm with fresh air and a view of the sea. Danijela and her husband have created a beautiful restaurant, which offers traditional Croatian cooking on charcoal, using locally grown produce and home made wine and cheeses. They are fantastic hosts and provide a true cooking experience at a really great price. If you’re the area I recommend giving this restaurant a try, you won’t be disappointed.

We stumbled upon this beautiful spot by chance and were immediately taken in by the stunning views and peaceful atmosphere. Although we, unfortunately, didn’t get a chance to dine there (reservations need to be made at least a day in advance — something we didn’t know), the experience was still truly memorable. The owners welcomed us warmly, offered us refreshing drinks, and took the time to show us what they were preparing in the kitchen. The aromas alone were enough to suggest that the food here is absolutely top-notch — rich, authentic, and made with care. Even though we didn’t get to try the cuisine this time, the genuine hospitality and incredible scenery made our visit more than worthwhile. If you’re in the area, make sure to plan ahead and book a table — it’s clearly a place not to be missed!

We couldn’t praise this place highly enough. Everything about the evening was exceptional. From the welcome drink of homemade Grappa, to the fantastic charcuterie board to start, the amazing salad that couldn’t have tasted fresher that accompanied the open oven roasted lamb with potatoes finishing with the homemade apple strudel, all accompanied with the delicious homemade wine. We were collected and dropped back at our hotel, which was an added bonus. All we can say is if you are ever in the area, and can book in for a meal, do so, I don’t believe anybody could be disappointed.
