I've been here several times now and this place gets better and better. The Tapas they serve are not exactly canon for the Spanish menu but very localized, with local ingredients and flavours. However, they make it into haute cuisine. Don't do your own selection from the menu, just let them select for you, sit back and enjoy the experience. The wine list is also great. A huge selection of orange wines if you're into that but also a great selection of local reds. If you're in Ljubljana this is a must visit.

Place was recommended to us by a local, and a good recommendation that was. Creative but successful cuisine and the wine list contains at least two dozen orange wines. Shout out to our waiter Rok who did an amazing job, and whose recommendations were always on point!

Terrible. Service was terrible, they honestly didn’t get a single thing right. Pure incompetency. The food was average. Four main faults: 1. We ordered the tuna appetizer, but were served the beef tartare. I pointed this out to the waiter but he corrected himself saying it was tuna actually. So I tried it and realized it was definitely meat. I called the waiters back and they said they would change it to the tuna... 2. I ordered a soup, but they forgot about it. 3. The waiting time between appetizers and mains was 50 minutes and the restaurant was empty (lunch on a Monday) 4. The waiters also overcharged us. We ordered the lunch set menu which was 12€ for an appetizer and a main, but we were charged 14€ and 13.50€ for each menu. Really bizarre. They corrected this and gave us 3.50€ back in cash. The quality of the food was average. The tuna and “savory” (not depicted) appetizers weren’t good. The burger and trout were fine.

This restaurant serves excellent dishes from local ingredients and wonderful wines from Slovenian boutique vineyards. The services was outstanding and the location is great as well - all that for a very reasonable price! We absolutely recommend TaBar!!!

TaBar was a highlight of our 2 week trip in Slovenia. Their wine list is outstanding - I've never seen an orange wine section so extensive! The meal was fantastic. One highlight was the bear carpaccio, but just ask the staff what their favorites are, they were super helpful and accommodating.
