The most beautiful hotel you want to return to. 😊 We have stayed at Sun Gardens Dubrovnik twice already. The first time — we simply fell in love: a spacious room with a stunning sea view, silence, gorgeous green grounds, and the most delicious breakfasts on the rooftop. We loved it so much that we canceled our tickets to Nice and stayed here for a few more nights. So, when choosing where to return — there was no doubt. 🌿 Atmosphere and Views The hotel grounds are huge, well-maintained, with open views of the bay and islands. Even if there are many guests and families with children — you still feel peace and quiet. On our first visit, we stayed in room 622 — it’s the right wing of the complex, with a full panoramic view of the sea and islands. The loungers on the balcony — simply a dream. It was in this room that we truly relaxed. 🍽 Club Area and Breakfasts If you book a club room — don’t miss breakfast on the terrace. It’s beautiful, peaceful, with a magnificent view and very tasty food. The first time we were greeted by a girl (I think her name was Nikole), she showed us the club lounge, explained where to get coffee and drinks — welcomed us very warmly, with genuine hospitality. Everything was top notch. On our second visit, unfortunately, we were greeted in the evening by a young man at the reception — very coldly. Literally the phrase: “Ah, you’ve already been here, so you know everything. Goodbye.” We were given a room overlooking the parking lot and with a side sea view — despite the prior request to give us the same room we had before. Only after a long wait and persistence on our part did they change the room. It was unpleasant. However, the next morning, the quality manager Mia Milosevic approached us — and simply charmed us. She personally apologized and with sincere care explained the situation, saying that there was a trainee on the evening shift. Thanks to her involvement, we once again felt like welcome guests. This human gesture we especially appreciate — this is exactly how true responsibility for service is shown. Before Sun Gardens, we spent one night at Rixos Dubrovnik. We know this chain well (we often stay at Rixos Tekirova and Rixos The Palm Dubai), but the Dubrovnik branch turned out to be very weak. So returning to Sun Gardens was a real contrast — Sun Gardens is simply 10 out of 10. If you are choosing a hotel in Croatia and looking for a truly luxurious vacation, then this hotel is your choice. Sun Gardens Dubrovnik is one of the few hotels in Croatia where the service truly tries to meet international standards. Yes, in Croatia in general, you shouldn’t expect the same level of service as in Turkey — it’s a regional feature. But here you will find the perfect combination: – a quiet atmosphere, – spaciousness, – polite and well-trained staff, – well-thought-out rooms, – excellent cuisine, – and the feeling that you are truly cared for. We will definitely return — and recommend this hotel to everyone who values premium-class vacations without pomp, but with respect for the guest.

The housekeeping keep ignoring the do not disturb sign and keep walking in to the room. Also expensive things were missing!!! They have thieves as cleaners!

The hotel itself is nice and the service was really good. However, there were a few things that impacted our overall stay. We requested early check-in in advance, but were told it depended on availability - even though check-out is at 11 am and housekeeping could’ve prioritized our room. Prices across the hotel are unreasonably high, whether it’s food, drinks, or the grocery store. Room service also comes with an added delivery charge. The location is a bit far from the city compared to other hotels, which made getting around less convenient. We also asked for late check-out both when booking and again the day before departure, and were told it might not be possible - and if available, it would cost €150 just to stay until 4 pm.

Una estancia inolvidable en Dubrovnik Nuestra experiencia en este complejo turístico ha sido absolutamente maravillosa. El hotel no carece de nada: está pensado para el disfrute y el descanso desde el primer momento. Queremos destacar especialmente la amabilidad de todo el personal, desde recepción hasta los camareros y el equipo de fuera. Todo el mundo ha sido atento y profesional en todo momento. Las vistas desde cualquier punto del hotel son impresionantes, y hay muchísimas opciones para disfrutar al máximo de la estancia. Nosotros reservamos una experiencia en barco que fue fantástica: el barco estaba impecable, el capitán Ivan fue encantador y profesional, y todo el servicio fue excelente. Los tratamientos del spa son maravillosos, el desayuno es completísimo, las piscinas son espectaculares, y además se puede bajar directamente al mar desde el hotel. En definitiva, una auténtica maravilla. Está muy bien situado, a un paso de Dubrovnik, lo que lo convierte en el lugar perfecto tanto para descansar como para explorar la zona. Sin duda, lo recomendamos y esperamos volver.

من أجمل الفنادق اللتي أقمت بها جمال المنظر ولباقة الموظفين والخدمات ،ولكن بالرغم أنه يقع على البحر مباشرة الى انه لايوجد خدمات شاطئية مثل شمسية وأماكن للجلوس وذلك لم يشكل عائقا أبدا

Service rendus suite à différents problèmes rencontrés, tous résolus, avec une mention spéciale pour Adriana qui a la capacité de se mettre rapidement à votre place et arrive à anticiper et donc satisfaire toutes vos demandes. Merci encore ! Elle nous a fait oublier les quelques défauts parmi lesquels : un fer à repasser qui ne fonctionne pas, une lampe grillée dans une armoire, une application room service sur TV qui ne fonctionne plus, et une situation un peu éloignée du vieux Dubrovnik (15 km par la route). Tout est pardonné ! La chambre est grande, confortable et conforme à la réservation (vue face mer). Le resort est énorme, mais les installations sont proportionnées, ce qui rend tout assez qualitatif. Avec ses cinq restaurants, l’offre est pléthorique, et il est difficile de ne pas être satisfait.

Lovely hotel. We stayed in the 2 bed sea facing apartments. The kitchen is fairly well stocked (induction stove, sharp knives, etc) but the shop is not, and the prices are silly. However, its a monopoly, and the nearest other grocery shop is 2k away in the village. Service is excellent, staff are friendly, and the kids love it.

Sun Gardens Dubrovnik was an amazing resort. Probably one of the best we have stayed at recently. The hotel staff was exceptional. The resort was very clean inside and outside. We requested pick-up to & from the airport via the resort for an added cost. It was worth the small cost, knowing we had transportation waiting for us upon arrival. The resort has a bus shuttle into old city of Dubrovnik for a small fee, 8€ per person. The shuttle needs to be scheduled ahead of time. It also has a boat shuttle, which needs to be scheduled ahead of time. There are several onsite restaurants including a gelato shop and small grocery store. We ate at three of the restaurants and the food was very good. We added breakfast and it did not disappoint! It had a scrumptious spread including a made to order omelette station among many yummy dishes. It was one of the best breakfast buffets. The resort also offered a kids club (did not apply to us) and had one of the best fitness centers with a sports bar for after workout shakes or an adult beverage. One suggestion we would make, is for the resort to post a sign at the stairs leading to the Adult pool letting guests know it is the adult pool for 16 yrs & older. A couple families came to the adult pool, not realizing it was the adult only pool. Overall, it is a beautiful & well maintained resort with very friendly hotel staff! We would definitely come back again. Thank you for a wonderful first time experience!

We have come to the end of an absolutely brilliant week at this hotel. It didn’t get off to the best start because the original room allocated wasn’t what I booked. To their credit the hotel (Isla) resolved the issue quickly and from that point on it really was a wonderful experience. The responsiveness and attentiveness of all staff was a theme throughout the week. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and we found the customer service to be excellent. Caesar at La Pasta and Ivan (Ivor) from the Market were stand outs in terms of customer service and are a huge asset to the hotel. ||Yes it’s expensive onsite but we knew that before we went, and yes it’s 20 mins from Dubrovnik but that was one of the reasons we loved it. Old Town was beautiful but very packed and chaotic during the day and it was very hot all week. We were really glad we had the stunning, relaxing surrounds of the hotel to retreat to and the location was perfect for us. We took a day trip to Lopud, only 5euro on the ferry, also a gorgeous spot. ||The beach was stunning, clear water and piers to jump off for the teens. We had no issues finding sun beds every day, again here all the staff we found to be super helpful and friendly.||Our two bed apartment was spacious, very clean and the air conditioning is superb. We loved Sun Gardens, everywhere is beautifully maintained and it’s picturesque perfect throughout.

We had the most amazing stay at this fantastic place! While we spent a lot of time exploring Dubrovnik, you could easily spend a whole week just enjoying the resort. It’s packed with activities and things to do. The beach is beautiful, extremely clean, and has great bar facilities.||We dined at La Pasta and Cilantro (we loved Cilantro so much we went three times!)—both offered great, high-quality food.||We did have a minor issue with ants in our apartment, which is to be expected in a hot country and natural surroundings. We reported it to reception, and a friendly lady from the facilities team arrived within 10 minutes to sort it out—great service! ||The apartment we stayed in had everything we needed. It was very spacious, had a fantastic sea view, and the housekeeping team was amazing.||There’s a convenient on-site shop, though it is quite expensive. Overall, the resort was spotless, and we can’t wait to come back!

Average resort with a very high price tag. We had high expectations for Sun Gardens given it’s part of the LHW group. Sadly it fell short of what was promised. |Firstly, it is very expensive in high season. We had a nice apartment overlooking the sea. The apartment was very clean but outdated, decor is tired. The housekeeping was excellent; very attentive and kept the place respectfully tidy. |The resort is enormous, literally hundreds of people all scrambling for breakfast and there is no table service at breakfast. Breakfast is very average; repetitive and not particularly well presented or appetising. Food and drink at the resort is very, very expensive, even for the children. There is not as much choice as we have experienced in other 5 star resorts. It is also in a very remote location so you are restricted to eating food on site at a high price or taking a taxi out. The taxis organised by the resort are twice the price of an Uber. Our biggest gripe was that everything we did was an added extra; tennis court hire, football coaching, evening babysitting, the children’s breakfast. |There were times there were no sun beds by the pool as people reserve a place early in the morning. There is a small supermarket on site but it felt like it took advantage of the fact there was no where else to buy food so charge a premium for basics such as crisps, toiletries, snacks, drinks. There are no healthy choices of food to buy there, everything is in jars/ processed. |Positives- ice cream parlour, the spa, the gym, the small beach and beach club, the small independent Croatian restaurant |Negatives- average customer service, excessive prices, busy, outdated, very average food and drink. |We would not return.
