Overall, I’d say this is 3 star accommodation, but could be much higher with a few little tweaks.
The location is great. It is on a main road, but it’s only 15 minute walk to the old town, and 7/8 minutes to the beach front. It’s also close to a supermarket (just across the road - an “Interspar”).
The pool is superb, plenty of seating, clean and on the back garden of the property away from the main road at the front.
We didn’t see any other properties with pools, which is a must for Zadar in June - August. The pool view behind has a few soviet style buildings which aren’t particularly well kept, but nothing too problematic (aside from a noisy rattle on one of the air-con fans).
We stayed in Apartment 2, which we understand is the newest. It’s a good size, lovely little kitchen and bathroom. Bed was comfortable and a good size (super king).
Check-in was good, we were allowed to check-in a tad early which is great for an early flight. The only downside at this point was payment. We were asked to pay cash, which is a bit of a nightmare when it was nearly 600 euro.
Booking.com stated we would be contacted in advance to arrange payment, so we assumed when this didn’t happen, we could transfer on arrival. Just one point to bear in mind!
Other than that, the sink drain smelt quite bad, a few dishes were dirty and ants were entering the property near a socket at the door (not many at all, but a small bunch of them). Lastly, the hosts could provide instructions, dishwasher tablets and more than one towel (one for the pool) to make the property 5 star!
Overall, I would recommend the property - the hosts are great.
