Mesarski mostThe Butchers Bridge (Mesarski most) is Ljubljana's bridge of love.  The countless lovers here have symbolically locked their love and thrown the keys into the Ljubljanica River flowing under the bridge. The Butchers' Bridge, built in 2010, connects Plečnik's market with Petkovškovo nabrežje (Lungoljubljanica) and stands on the spot where a bridge was designed by architect Jože Plečnik almost 100 years ago during the construction of the market hall.  The conception of the bridge is partially artistic, this being characterized by the statues of the Slovenian sculptor Jakov Brdar.
