The river Ljubljanica is really nice, it separates the city but both sides are amazing and plenty of bridges on the river. Tourist ships go on the river, you can buy a ticket. The view is amazing. There are cozy restaurants on both sides, prices are medium, not expensive. You can see the castle in the distance.

Beautiful bridge to walk by or to seat beneath. The restoration of the center is astonishing, it's everything compared to what it was at the end of the last century, this bridge is one of it's great examples.

El antiguo Puente de los Zapateros, como su nombre indica, acogía en su estructura los talleres de dicho gremio, se trataba de un pontón de madera cubierto, que conectaba dos áreas importantes de la ciudad medieval, las plazas Mestni y Novi. En el siglo XIX se sustituyó por un puente de hierro fundido. Aunque por iniciativa de Jože Plečnik, fue trasladado frente al hospital de maternidad de la capital para conectar las carreteras de Zaloška y Poljanska. En su lugar, el singular arquitecto construyó entre 1931 y 1932, la actual estructura que a semejanza de otros de sus puentes como el de Trnovo o el Triple, fue concebida como una amplia plataforma de piedra artificial con pasamanos. Estás barandas de balaustres cortos e inspiración dórica se enmarcan por altas columnas de aire corintio, rematadas con bolas de piedra y cuentan en el centro, con otra columna de influencia jónica, que actúa de farola dotando al puente de su apariencia característica apariencia pero sin cumplir función sustentante ninguna. Juego con los elementos constructivos tan del gusto de Plečnik.
