Beautiful square with beautiful buildings and park. The park is clean. The view on Ljubljana old town is mesmerising. Everything is close to the square. Near the square is Sava (Ljubljanica) with a lot of restaurants and caffees. I was there at Christmas time and it had a lot of shining lights and everything was colorfull. The photos do not give that feeling of beauty. Would like to visit again.

Was here for the New Years eve, so this review will focus on this particular night. First of all, it's a great spot to observe the traditional fireworks above the Ljubljana's iconic castle. The city organized a large stage with various bands and there were several stands with food and drinks to keep everyone going. Other than that, the Christmas decorations were really nice, so it's worth a visit just to check them out.
