We ate here for a sunset dinner and it was the highlight of our trip! The service was excellent without being stuffy and the food was some of the best we have had in Croatia. The staff were very personable and friendly, and gave us many good suggestions. It felt like a family run business. Great view of the sunset and harbor!!

Savršen spoj mora i mesa – iskustvo za pamćenje! U ovom restoranu sam probala najbolje morske delicije do sada – svježe, savršeno pripremljene, s okusima koji doslovno mirišu na more. No, vrhunac večeri bio je najrjeđi steak koji sam ikad kušala – nježan, bogat okusom, pečen s toliko pažnje da se topio u ustima. Spoj nespojivog? Ne ovdje. Ovdje sve ima smisla – i svaki zalogaj priča priču. A tek ugođaj! Topla, opuštena atmosfera u kojoj se odmah osjećaš kao kod kuće. Pristupačnost osoblja, ali i srdačno gostoprimstvo vlasnika i čitave njegove obitelji daju ovom mjestu dušu. Nije samo restoran – to je doživljaj koji se pamti i kojem se sigurno vraćaš.

Bei einem 5tägigen Trip als Hochzeits DJ auf der Insel Hvar, verbrachte ich einen Abend mit meiner Frau im Restaurant Blue Doors. Was soll ich sagen? Mehr geht nicht! Die Vorspeisen (göttliche Dreiecke mit einer wahnsinnig leckeren Sauce & Tuna Tartar) die Hauptgänge (Thunfischsteak & Tuna TaTaki) und die Nachspeisen waren sowohl geschmacklich als auch optisch PERFEKT! Dazu ein leckerer Wein von der Insel Hvar & Gin-Tonic der aufwendig und mit Fachkenntnis am Tisch zubereitet wurde. Der sehr aufmerksame und humorvolle Service rundete diesen wirklich schönen Abend in dieser phänomenalen Lage ab. Vielen Dank! Beim nächsten Aufenthalt auf dieser schönen Insel kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder!

The food is so good! I highly recommend the Triangles, the Octopus salad, the salmon salad, the Pink Rasberry for dessert. The owner, Tadi, was incredibly personable and has come up with some really flavorful dishes. He also made great recommendations of places to see while in Hvar. Ask him for direction to Villa Vito

We just stopped here because of very good reviews and honestly, it exceeded our expectations. The chef’s attention to detail in everything we ordered was amazing and Tadi, who served our table and owner, was the nicest guy we’ve met and made the experience totally incredible. We tasted some of the best meals so far and we’ll definitely repeat. bonus point: great music playlist, they took an amazing picture of us and we support the same football team - FC Barcelona 🤗

Excellent service to match the gorgeous setting of the restaurant. We loved their black risotto and their sea bass in white wine sauce. Huge kudos to the staff for offering to chill our personal water bottle while dining so we would have cold water to go. Highly recommend the place!

I could write you all the words, it would still not do it justice. Hands downs the best meal in Croatia we had, and this would not be out of place in the streets of Knightsbridge and Chelsea. Go early in your trip so you have the time to book again.

Absolutely wonderful! I’ve visited bluedoor in Starigrad several times now, and I can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed. The setting is simply beautiful—sitting on the square in front of the restaurant, overlooking the harbor, creates a truly special atmosphere, especially in the evening. Every dish I’ve tried, from starters to desserts, has been exceptional. Whether you’re in the mood for a perfectly cooked steak or fresh fish, you can’t go wrong. The desserts are just as impressive and definitely worth saving room for! The service is always attentive and professional. The two brothers who own the restaurant are genuinely friendly and welcoming. They always make sure you feel comfortable and are happy to recommend a great table with a lovely view. If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience in Starigrad, I highly recommend bluedoor. It’s a place I’ll keep coming back to!

Blue Doors u Starom Gradu na Hvaru jedno je od onih mjesta koje vas osvoje već na prvi pogled – smješten u srcu starog grada, nedaleko rive, na malom, pitoresknom trgu okruženom kamenim fasadama i mediteranskim šarmom. Već sam ambijent odiše posebnom atmosferom – dovoljno opušten da se osjećate kao kod kuće, ali i dovoljno elegantan da imate osjećaj da ste na posebnoj večeri. Usluga je zaista izvrsna – prijateljska, nasmijana, nenametljiva, a opet savršeno profesionalna. Od samog dolaska, pa sve do odlaska, sve je teklo ugodno i bez žurbe. Iako je terasa bila puna, konobari su bili prisutni, brzi i usklađeni, bez onog osjećaja da morate "uhvatiti nečiji pogled" da biste nešto naručili. Rijetko gdje se tako dobro izbalansira toplina i diskrecija u usluzi. Što se hrane tiče – sve što smo probali bilo je odlično, svježe i pažljivo pripremljeno, s naglaskom na kvalitetne lokalne namirnice. No, apsolutni vrhunac večeri bio je crni rižoto – kremast, bogat, pun dubokih okusa, savršeno začinjen i kuhan baš kako treba. To je ono jelo koje jednostavno ne možete prestati jesti. Ostala jela nisu nimalo zaostajala, ali rižoto se jednostavno izdvojio kao zvijezda večeri. Zanimljiv je i način na koji su vina predstavljena – ne u klasičnom stilu "crno-bijelo", već prema karakteristikama i dojmovima koje ostavljaju. To jako olakšava izbor, pogotovo onima koji nisu veliki vinski znalci, a žele isprobati nešto novo i drukčije. I ono najvažnije – što god da odaberete, teško da možete pogriješiti. Cijene su realne, naročito kada ih stavite u kontekst kvalitete hrane, pića, usluge i same lokacije. Sve skupa ostavlja dojam dobro zaokružene priče u kojoj je svaki detalj promišljen. Ukratko – toplo preporučujem Blue Doors svima koji traže autentično i ukusno iskustvo, bez stresa i bez pretencioznosti. Odlično mjesto za večeru u dvoje, s prijateljima ili obitelji, i definitivno jedno od onih u koje se poželite vratiti već dok hodate prema izlazu.

Wow!! Absolut TOP! Wir waren vor 1 Woche als Gruppe mit 9 Personen da. Der Service ist perfekt, das essen Wahnsinn. Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert alles ein Traum. Es war einfach rundum perfekt und ein muß wenn man Stari Grad auf Hvar besucht. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.
