O Dubrovačkim Muzejima
Dubrovački muzeji predstavljaju bogatstvo kulturne i povijesne baštine Dubrovnika, nudeći jedinstvene kolekcije i izložbe koje prikazuju njegovu povijest, umjetnost i tradiciju. U srcu grada, posjetitelji mogu istraživati različite muzeje koji obuhvaćaju arheološka, pomorska i etnografska blaga.
Povijest Muzeja
Domorodni muzej osnovan je 1872. godine, a prva muzejska postava postavljena je sredinom 1873. godine, s izloženim eksponatima iz razdoblja Dubrovačke Republike. Muzejske zbirke obogaćene su dragocjenim darovima i donacijama lokalnih kolekcionara, a među najvažnijim donatorima bili su braća Amerling. U 20. stoljeću, muzejski prostor se značajno proširio kroz arheološka istraživanja i tematske izložbe.
Izložbe i Zbirke
Muzej sadrži osam zbirki koje pokrivaju vremensko razdoblje od ranog neolitika do druge polovice 17. stoljeća, a trenutne izložbe uključuju "Ranosrednjovjekovnu skulpturu" i "Cvijet u kamenu". Muzeji pružaju jedinstvenu priliku za učenje o arheološkoj povijesti Dubrovnika kroz povremene tematske izložbe, a posjetitelji mogu uživati u stalnim i privremenim postavima.

This is a very small but interesting museum. Originally I thought it might be showcasing Roman remains, but whilst there's an exhibition of gold rings from Roman times, all the carved stonework on display relates to fragments found from previous old churches around the city. Fragments of ciboriums, corbels, lintels etc.

Dubrovnik Pass museum. Very nice museum. Just 3 rooms, but that's enough to not feel overwhelmed. I was there mainly alone in may. If you are interested in art and archeology, it's good idea to visit the place. Also you can take a short look on your path through the city. The visit takes like 10-20 minutes.

It’s a small and peaceful museum, conveniently located, that particularly highlights finds from Lokrum Island. Whether visiting the island before or after the museum they nicely complement each other. Worth a visit to gain additional historical insights.

Yleensä rakastan arkeologisia museoita, mutta tämä oli pettymys. Jo sisälle mennessämme kassatäti ilmoitti, että tämä on arkeologinen museo ja selvästi oletti meidän eksyneen ja vierailun jälkeen ymmärrän miksi. Siellä ei ollut juuri mitään mielenkiintoista nähtävää. Vain jotain kivikappaleita kirkoista ja muutama vanha sormus. En ottanut edes yhtään kuvaa täältä, koska ei ollut mitään kuvaamisen arvoista.

hate to be that guy. absolutely lovely city and people and the city pass! absolute god send. decided to visit this establishment after a lovely walk through the town as it was the furthest attraction that the city pass grants you entry in. upon entering i tried to scan my qr codes but as i was having difficulty with my data i resorted to screenshots of the qr codes (exactly the same as the confirmation email as previous attractions had accepted this) and the woman scanning refused to do so. i then stepped outside to try and bring up the email and upon reentering asked if this was (as advertised) included in the pass. to this i was met with a second worker who asked me if i ‘read anything i buy?’ as us tourists buy the pass because its cheap and ‘don’t bother to read what is included’. she further stated that she just wants to sit and scan and doesn’t want to converse. in response, i merely suggested that i asked as her colleague refused to scan my passes which i knew included this, and further stated that the fort outside the west city walls, is included, but isn’t described as such on the official website. alas the visit was short and underwhelming, worth it if you have the pass but if you don’t get around to it you are really not missing a single thing unless you want to experience some stellar customer service. also smelt like an ashtray so lovely to see the people of this place treating historic buildings with the utmost respect.
