We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Plesnik. From the moment we arrived, the genuinely friendly staff made us feel right at home. The hotel is nestled in a stunning landscape, surrounded by majestic Alpine mountains. The views are spectacular, adding a serene and peaceful ambiance to our stay, making it an ideal retreat from daily life. The hotel's charming alpine cottage decor, combining rustic elements with modern comforts, created a homely atmosphere. The wellness area was amazing, and I appreciated the hotel's eco-friendly approach, especially the unique alpine eco-wellness natural water pool. Breakfast was exquisite, with a variety of delicious dishes made from local, fresh ingredients. The activities and excursions in the area were fantastic, from hiking beautiful trails to exploring nearby attractions by bike. Overall, our stay at Hotel Plesnik was perfect, and I highly recommend it.

This is the only 4 star hotel in the valley and perfect location for hiking/biking. Food is great , pool (a bit cool for me) and spa are nice places to relax . Treatments are good, tho pricey. The Superior rooms with balcony & valley/mountain views are worth the premium , but try to avoid the ones overlooking the terrace (104-107) as noisy, esp in evening. Best balcony rooms are 108, 109 , 207 and 208. |Also recommend you ask to swap tables in dining room so you get different views, and eat on the outside terrace when you can for the superb view. |Staff are very helpful , esp the lovely Lara .

Hotel s dušom, s jednim od najljepših pogleda na ovoj planeti. Umjetnost kojom priroda stvara svoja predivna čuda, zasigurno je svoj vrhunac dosegla nastankom alpsko-ledenjačke, Logarske doline. Iako dugačka svega 7 km, a široka do 500 metara, na svoja 24 kvadratna kilometra uspjela je udomiti bezbroj čudesnih prizora i neviđenu floru i faunu.

The location is very pretty, in a quiet valley.|Our room (king balcony) was relatively small but nicely decorated; the bathroom did not have a real wall, but great shower and nice décor.|There is no air conditioning, which worried me when I found out but the temperature in the room was actually ok (opening the windows).|We arrived during a storm and were poorly greeted. The same happened at breakfast, the staff is not very friendly and seem annoyed (probably they are understaffed?). |They have lots of old fashioned pension rules such as allocated tables for breakfast and set dinner menu. I had originally asked to have dinner at the hotel but when we arrived we were shown a menu with only a broccoli soup and a dessert as veg options, so we declined. The receptionist said the chef would make something vegetarian for us but without knowing what it was we opted to eat somewhere else. The whole situation was a bit of a faulty tower episode. They claim the set menu avoids food waste but I am not sure how many people choose to dine in. I would rather have a choice and maybe eat one dish rather than be forced to eat a big meal with a sad vegetarian option (baked onions, broccoli soup, hummus). The set menu is quite expensive (50 euro without beverages) compared to other local restaurants. The habit of allocating a table per room (not negotiable) is unpleasant and old fashioned. The restaurant room was stifling in the morning. There is a nice terrace and we saw other guests having breakfast there so we just moved there.|The natural pond (with fish) is a little weird.|Overall it feels like an old-style pension and it should be priced accordingly, in my opinion.|I fell and sprained my ankle and they were kind enough to provide ice for me.

Indescribable, amazing, spectacular, are the main words to use when staying at Hotel Plesnik. We had our wedding here the other weekend and it was beyond our wildest dreams. The staff are amazing! They are so friendly and welcoming. Jasmina and our stellar bartenders were absolute magic. The rooms are beautiful, and the views are out of this world. Not to mention the food is so delicious - especially breakfast! It's a special experience staying at this hotel! Don't miss out on this opportunity.

It is difficult to choose a superlative that does justice to the Logar valley; it is utterly stunning. ||We (family of five with triplet daughters aged 15) had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Plesnik. Our rooms were beautifully designed and decorated. Ours had a view of the waterfall by the hotel and our daughters looked up the valley. The hotel prioritises sustainability and there are recycling bins on every level. Other reviewers have complained about noise but we had no disturbances at all for the three nights we stayed. ||The breakfasts were delicious and included much locally sourced food. Dinner is a set menu and I’m sure would have tasted amazing but at €60 per person it would have cost €900 for 3 days so we decided to eat at the fantastic guest house only 100m or so further up the valley for approx €100 for all five of us for each meal. ||The spa at Hotel Plesnik is excellent and my husband and I had several massages with Maia and Dalya. Just what was needed after a day’s hiking. The waterfall fed natural outdoor pool is wonderful. We swam every day before breakfast and then throughout the day to cool off. ||Hotel Plesnik is perfectly located for exploring the many paths up into the Logar valley. We walked to the Rinka Slap waterfall one day - pretty easy until the final section - we all jumped in the pool under the waterfall to cool off before walking back. We walked up to the Klemenca Jama ridge another day - VERY steep but beautiful views from the top and a small cafe. We also walked up a neighbouring valley - Robanov Kot - it was much quieter than the Logar valley and also had a pretty - albeit smaller - waterfall at the top to cool off in.

We had a lovely stay at hotel Plesnik. The rooms are newly renovated, the spa is nice and cosy as well and the views are serene. The rest of the hotel has a rustic feel to it. We rented ebikes which were very well maintained. We loved our stay. The finnish sauna was twice in a row only 70 degrees, something didnt work as it should have. I would also serve dinner in the dining room behind the bar and reception and not where the breakfast is served. That dining room is much nicer than the breakfast room and sitting next to an empty breakfast buffet with all the signs is not very pleasing. Last but not least if Plesnik wants to be on top of the four star hotels it could opt their dinner food game a bit. The food is very solid but the main courses dont seem to be on top of their game visually and could be a bit more creative. Again we liked our stay a lot but food in most restaurants we ate around Slovenia was superior

Great location, newly renovated SPA and rooms, fine and generous food selection, kind staff. The best: the view into logar valley. We rented e-bikes in the hotel and did a great panoramic tour.

This Hotel is really not the calm place it advertises itself as. The main bar terrace is below the Mountain View rooms which are very small, and opposite it is a guesthouse that at the time of my visit, was occupied by the local motorbike club. This is not the hotels fault, just a heads up. They have no competition and how they run their business is up to them, but for the money I would have hoped for better.

While this place is in a gorgeous location, I just do not think it is worth the money. My recommendation would to be stay here for 1 night and then spend your other days in the Logar Valley in a tourist farm. The food and alcohol is so expensive and not great. Once again, go elsewhere. But the spa and the team there are absolutely incredible ! I would go back just for another one of the massages and facials from the wonderful team.

We had 7 nights here on half board with a package.|The location and valley the hotel sits in is utterly breathtaking and hard to beat. It’s very easy to relax either at the hotel or in the nearby forests on the numerous walking trails.|The food at the hotel is excellent particularly the breakfast which places large emphasis on freshness and locally sourced ingredients.|Now to the negatives…|We booked a Mountain View room as many previous reviews suggested. Was it worth it? Probably…just. This is because there is a terrace directly beneath the balcony which produced noise and disturbance several times- notably late at night on one occasion with a large group of business people were enjoying themselves, something which the hotel seemed unable to control as they had closed the reception so we couldn’t complain about it!|Food- my wife is vegetarian and whilst mostly she was well catered for, sometimes the creativity and effort was lacking. For example, one night the meat option was simply replaced…by an additional carrot.|Overall though these minor negative points are intended for the hotel to improve still further what is a truly special place for a relaxing holiday. A hotel that I would very highly recommend.

A wonderful hotel to switch off and recharge. The hotel has a serene and relaxing atmosphere and the surroundings are very quiet. Most of all, the mountain view in front of the hotel is majestic and makes you calm juat looking at it. During our 5-night stay, we enjoyed hiking, the spa facilities, friendly service and good food the hotel offered. I tried the full body massage which was great. The room is stylish and comfy. Highly recommended.
