Honestly traumatic experience, staff was rude, zero emotions and bad english. Everyone who worked there looked sad and one boy was working on reception and taking food to guests. Room had some strange smell which I cant describe. No wonder its rated bad

We were pleasantly surprised with our room at Hotel Pax, it was cosy and clean and had a view of the sea which we were happy about! The staff were all friendly and helpful. They offered us suggestions of things to do, places to visit, and reliable companies to use for activities as it was our first time in Croatia. We would comfortably pick to stay here again.||We did encounter a couple of minor drawbacks during our stay:|1) The breakfast options were basic and remained the same each day, which led us to explore dining out instead.|2) The shower was a tiny, which made it a little challenging to use comfortably.||The hotel is about a 10-minute walk down to Kupalište Trstenik public beach, and about a 30-minute walk along the coast to the Split Riva. We enjoyed doing this walk in the sunshine! If not, booking a 10-minute taxi was always an option. Being slightly away from the Split city centre allowed us to enjoy local restaurants and bars, where prices were about half of what we found in the Riva and within Diocletian's Palace.

I stayed at Hotel Pax back in September, and it was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room I booked was completely different from what was advertised online—it was old, rundown, and nothing like the photos. To make matters worse, the AC wasn’t working at all, and the bathroom had visible mold, which was both disgusting and unacceptable. We couldn’t bear to stay longer and ended up leaving the next day. I had booked five nights for $808 and requested a refund, but they only offered me $121—less than 20% of what I paid! This was extremely frustrating, especially since I had to spend a lot of extra money to book another hotel at the last minute. To top it off, the breakfast they provided was a complete joke—barely edible and certainly not worth mentioning. I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to think twice. Save your money and avoid the headache.
