This was the best hotel my husband and I have stayed at. It was cozy with only about 6 rooms and very welcoming. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Gave us excellent recommendations for around the area. We always felt safe and taken care of. It is a little outside of town so having a car was helpful. We stayed in the Cone Luxury Double which was to die for. The balcony windows were incredible and the bed so comfortable. Although we have a far trip from the US, we are already planning our trip back! Hvala to everyone at Milka!

A wonderful experience! The hotel is decorated beautifully in a comfortable, modernist style. Every detail is accounted for to make for an amazing stay. The staff could not have been more warm and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and beautifully presented. Dinner was an occasion not to be missed--the most delicious food I've ever had. Our room had a gorgeous bathroom but only clear glass separating it from the bathroom. We would have preferred more privacy--so that might be something to specify when choosing your room.

The restaurant served over 20 different plates and was outstanding in every sense. The attention to detail throughout made all the difference and it was all worth every penny

We stayed here on a high end biking tour. The hotel was over-rated. No one was friendly. No one offered us a ride into town for dinner, even though their restaurant was closed for the 2 nights we stayed, It was a very dark walk for 20 minutes into town. Our room was dark, small, and has a low ceiling. For the price, stay somewhere else. We had to call into the front desk multiple times to get them to turn the AC on. The breakfast (even with a 2-star Michelin rated restaurant) had poor service. We had to get up to get more water and serve ourselves both mornings. Overall, it was disappointing, and the worst stay out of our 4 hotels in Slovenia. The location was beautiful, and we loved the hiking and lake out in front of the hotel.

The service and rooms are truly exceptional. The location is amazing. The dinner was creative and delicious, truly deserving it's accolades. And the breakfast was really something else - a selection of amazing delicacies, and even the "normal" things such as scrambled eggs and oatmeal are the best we had. Overall great experience and we'll definitely be back.

If it's possible to give this property 10-stars, I would. Boutique Hotel Milka goes above and beyond in every respect to make this one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at (and I travel a lot). The tiny touches like setting my sunglasses that I had strewn around the room on top of a Milka branded lens cloth, to turn down service that included making sure our water pitcher is full in case we get thirsty at night to the the high tech feeling of the AC knowing to turn off when the window is open, to the awesome Milka-formulated toiletries... no detail was overlooked. I loved the plants in the room, the huge double shower, and most of all, the reading nook with the jaw-dropping view. The service was beyond amazing with every individual giving you their attention with genuine kindness. It seemed like people truly enjoyed working there. The hotel breakfast deserves its own review. It's excessive, enormous, and utterly delicious. I would also HIGHLY recommend you dine at Restaurant Milka for dinner, both my husband and I think it was better than Hisa Franko despite Hisa Franko having more Michelin stars. It was creative, surprising, but above all tasty! Just beware that the meal is very long and will take 3-4 hours. Some things to note: The parking lot is small, reservations at restaurant Milka are a must, and there is no elevator. But if you are debating, choose this hotel. I would wholeheartedly stay here again.

Milka hotel is a very beautiful high end hotel with the most amazing view of the mountains and Lake Jasna at it's feet. It is the perfect spot to start your hikes into the mountains, admire the most pristine mountain river you have ever seen and discover the national park. Breakfast is copious and high quality. We chose the smallest room and it had a bathtub with a view of the mountains, truly a an experience to take a bath like that. Their soaps and extra's are very nice en high quality. The beds are to die for, really really good. *Some points of improvement*: the room was dusty when we arrived. As in dust from at least a week behind the bath. We requested an extra clean and that was arranged fast.
