Racist, scammers, and I definitely do not recommend anyone stay at world wide hostels or main square hostel. The receptionist nags when asked any minor question. I have stayed in over 40 hostels around the world and this is one of my worst because of how they treat guests. What’s even worse is that on Wednesdays they promote a beer pong tournament in World Wide Hostels, a sister hostel of Main Square Hostel. I enter with my friend Tom and we win second place. However, the aussie who was in charge of the event and working at the hostel REFUSED to give me my money and started making up rules on the spot. Complete and utter nonsense. Don’t go there, find another place. It was never about the money, keep it for yourself👎🏻I don’t think the staff cares one bit about if you have a good stay or not. i believe this is my first ever negative hostel review.

Avoid the beer pong tournament at all cost! You need to pay 10€ to participate and beer is not even included in the price. You have to buy your own beer in the bar at a “discounted” price. We did not know this, and we wanted a refund 5 mins after signing up for the tournament. The tournament hadn’t even started yet. They refused to give us our money back, with the explanation that we payed in cash. The receptionist was rude and very unfriendly. After a lot of arguing we finally got our money back.

Good location, walking distance to the old town but a bit less touristy. We slept peacefully, believe it or not! Double rooms are cool and clean, AC, comfy pillows and nice firm mattress, soft sheets. Shout out to Moncho Montoya who somehow managed to post my beloved lost jacket all the way to Portugal! That's top tier service and saving the day! Professionalism and friendliness to the core 💖 The volunteers were super chill and sound, good vibes. They were making eggs and sausages for all the lost souls feeling fragile in the morning. The girl at the reception who checked us in was lovely and friendly also. Def a place to party but also fine if you're barely there. Free breakfast is a plus! Greetings from Ireland and Portugal!

We visited this hostel for 3 nights in July and had such a great experience! As two girls we were looking for somewhere welcoming, safe and fun, and this hostel definitely delivered. It was a great place to meet new people and every night there was something on. The pub crawl was good fun, all of the staff and volunteers were really nice and the room was perfect for what we needed. The free breakfast in the morning was definitely an added bonus too!

Absolutely unreal place, especially for solo travellers. Guaranteed to meet so many people when you stay there, everybody is super friendly and nice. The bar is very reasonably priced and the pub crawl and daily activities are so worth doing. I’ve only just left and I already want to return!

I checked in for one night . Really friendly staff, the place is definitely a place ill be coming bwck when i visit zagreb . 5min walk from centre square. They had an event on in the evening amd even tho i didnt buy a ticket they let me be involved which i loved . Bed was very comfortable , toilets clean , the shower was perfect nice pressure and (how i like it hot). Big love to moncho and erik(s) for making me feel welcome even tho i only stayed the one night .. Food recommendations was probably the best places to eat. And the bar was cheap for drinks . Breakfast was top . I have nothing bad to say about the place at all… thanks you for everything Alex

Loved this hostel and even booked an extra 2 nights. The staff is super friendly and the bathroom is clean. The pub crawl was legend! Special thumbs up for Gianfranco 😁 kisses from Belgium

I’d say my favorite place to stay in Zagreb for sure! Always something happening, easy to make friends and unforgettable nights on the pub crawls. Had so much fun playing the greatest game show ever 🤩 also, shoutout to Gian for being an unbeatable Shakira!

This is the best hostel i have ever been: perfectly situated, cheap, bar included, amazing vibe from the building and the staff with great animation for nights like karaoke or games. I really recommand It.
