Very beautiful Castle, well kept and the exhibition are very well put together. Entry price is a bit steep compared to the length of the tour, but the views of the city are amazing from the tower. Must see if you happen to be in Ljubljana.

Year after year, the castle has become a well-maintained piece of cultural history all the while serving as an exceptional entertainment venue. The coffee shop is also quite good - cappuccino + cake was a winning combo for us. :)

Questa è l’attrazione più consigliata di Lubiana da tutti i turisti. Sinceramente è molto sopravalutato, abbiamo raggiunto il posto con la funicolare super comoda e organizzata. Una volta arrivati in cima ci siamo diretti a prendere l’audio guida in italiano. È fatta come un telefono e per ascoltare devi portarlo all’orecchio, un po’ scomodo, non hanno le cuffie. Tutto sommato l’audio guida però è fatta bene, spiega dettagliatamente e in modo chiaro. I posti dove bisogna ascoltare non sono ben accessibili, devi girare parecchio per trovarli. I luoghi da visitare non sono un granché interessanti, le stanze sono maggiormente vuote e hanno pochi reperti storici. Gli arredamenti non ci sono.. ottima organizzazione ma pochi oggetti storici. Il museo delle marionette invece è spettacolare.

Nice ride up.. 6 Euros per person. You can see the castle middle space and chapel and an art gallery. If you want to oversee the city you must pay the castle ticket. You can just see it from the funicular while going up. It’s worth going up. At least especially in Christmas times .. there are some nice decorations
