Prachtige locatie, vriendelijk personeel. Ze hebben lekkere maar dure wijntjes. Eten is lekker maar ook aan de prijs. De portiegrote is tussen tapas en een maaltijd in waardoor proportioneren lastig is.

In addition to decaf espresso and alternative milks (rice milk, oat milk, and almond milk), EK Bistro also offers one vegan option for breakfast! It is an avocado toast topped with fresh fruits and tomatoes, and it is quite delicious. The prices seemed to be a little higher than average. Our waitress was very friendly. I would recommend EK Bistro for those looking for hearty breakfast, and for groups with someone who needs a vegan option!

EK Bistro is a cozy bistro in Ljubljana. The food is good, but the prices are a bit on the high side. I had an omelet and a glass of juice for 15 euros, which I thought was a bit too much. The quality of the food is also not as good as it used to be. Zum Frühstück einmalig da gewesen. Das Ambiente direkt am Fluss und an einem Fußweg ohne Autoverkehr ist richtig toll und ruhig, lädt definitv zum Verweilen ein. Das Essen war qualitativ hochwertig und lecker. Allen hat es geschmeckt und wir waren zufrieden. Einzig der Preis war aus meiner Sicht unverschämt hoch. Für 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder (jeder ein Getränk und ein Essen ala Carte) insgesamt 60,-€ für ein Frühstück erscheint mir wirklich sehr hoch. Gestört hat auch, dass jedes kleine Extra zur normalen Portion mit mindestens 2,-€ zu bezahlen war, was unsere normale Rechnung noch weiter in die Höhe getrieben hätte. Wie gesagt, geschmacklich war es richtig gut und das Ambiente ist toll, aber die Preise sind gepfeffert. Zum Vergleich: Am Tag vorher ein Frühstück mit ähnlichem Umfang gehabt und nur 45,-€ bezahlt + ohne zu fragen hat jeder ein Glas Wasser mit dazu bekommen.

Came here as many websites recommended it and we were not disappointed! All the classics were here (Ham/ Salmon benedict, avocado sourdough bread, croissants etc) and tasted great, substitutions are no problem and everything was freshly prepared and very tasty, especially their fries which were nothing short of amazing- skin on, crispy outside, soft (not mushy!) inside, well seasoned. I can also recommend the eggs with cracklings (apparently a Slovenian speciality), scooping up the yolk with Brioche was a real treat! Portion size is not too big, not too small, exactly right. We could not help ourselves and ordered more items nonetheless :) As with pretty much any other restaurant we visited in Ljubljana the staff was very courteous and the views next to the river pleasing. Wholeheartedly recommended!

Wir waren hier schon öfters zum Frühstück. Speisen und Service sind gut. Inzwischen ist es aber einfach zu teuer, für das was serviert wird. Zu zweit 41€ für das Frühstück zu zahlen, ohne Besonderheiten, empfinden wir als zu viel. In einem anderen Cafe in der Nähe konnten wir für den selben Betrag zu dritt frühstücken.

Sehr nettes Bistro mit exzellenten Frühstück. Der Platz direkt am Fluss ist wirklich einmalig. Für meinen Geschmack war das Essen ein wenig teuer, dafür aber wirklich schmackhaft - eine Empfehlung!
