The waiter took the pitcher without asking us (from the table we are sitting) and then did not give us the deposit (told us that we should ask? Before he gets it from the table?). They are just taking advantage of the students… manager is really rude and told us they did not want us here anymore when we asked for the deposit :/ such an unpleasant experience for us ETH students…

The stuff is terrible, they occupy the best place in the city near Eth polyterasse and do not feel necessity to comfort the customers

Usually we are students coming to the bar. It is not a bar that is very student friendly when the prices are considered. What is also more is that there was one time we bought drinks but one of our friends were drinking their own drink outside. They shooed us. The other time we ordered a pitcher and one of the waiters came and collect it when no one was around. Later they acted as if they do not remember and we cannot take the deposit..

The manager is very friendly as opposed to some reviewers mentioned. It's a great spot to grab a beer.

They have this thing called a 'deposit,' and here's how it's supposed to work (or not work, which would be more accurate). You give them 10 CHF for the pitcher as a deposit, and when you return the pitcher, they're supposed to give your money back. But the funny thing is, it's been over a week and I still haven't received my money. Great business model. Keep up the scam. Update: I contacted them personally as was proposed, and they returned the money to my bank account. In other aspects, the bar is good. The are lots of students and a great view of the city.
