My dad made a booking via carjet for a car from 29/07/2025 to 04/08/2025.
When he came to the agency they sayed that they couldn’t find the réservation and made him Another one wich increased the price from 68€ to 551,46€.
First of all you have to know that I work as an agent at Europcar in the airport of Paris so I exactly know how this business work. You employe lied to my dad by telling him that he couldn’t find the booking to give him a car by walk-in so he can add him the premium insurrance and the road side assitance that he didn’t asked for.
I perfectly know how this scam work because it’s usual in the Rental business.

Achtung abzocke! In Deutschland gebucht und mit Kreditkarte bezahlt. Vor Ort wurde die Kreditkarte nicht akzeptiert, sollten darauf hin eine Versicherung abschließen, da die Kaution hierfür geringer wäre und die debitkarte so belastet werden könne. Leider haben wir nicht vorab die Bewertungen studiert.viele berichten von ähnlichen Fällen. Auch der Kunde vor uns hat 20 Minuten diskutiert, weil zusatzkosten verlangt wurden.
Der Wagen soll leer abgegeben werden, damit sixt wieder für 50 € volltankt. Habe ich in dieser Form noch nie erlebt.

NON ROVINATEVI LA VACANZA
Avevo prenotato una FIAT 500 tramite booking per 7 g ad un prezzo di euro 236, comprensiva di assicurazione a franchigia 0.
Una volta arrivato sul posto, hanno tentato di spaventarmi con frasi intimidatorie relative ad eventuali danni da coprire e mi hanno costretto di fatto ad accettare un deposito cauzionale più alto perché mi sono rifiutato di pagare un'assicurazione ulteriore di 600 euro oltre a quella già pagata.
Dopo un inutile tentativo telefonico di operatore Booking, volto a mediare la situazione incresciosa, ed aver versato 1500 euro di cauzione rispetto a quella pattuita di euro 1200, mi hanno comunicato che l'auto non c'era e che dovevo pagare 140 euro in più perché l'auto che mi hanno fornito costava di più. strano vero?
Dal Voucher che mi hanno rilasciato si nota anche il pagamento di una 2° assicurazione e cosi facendo mi sono ritrovato a pagare 230 euro e rotti per la 500, con assicurazione integrale (70 euro circa) ed un'altra polizza per l'automobile di "riserva" con una franchigia di oltre 800 euro!
A voi i giudizi.
Mi chiedo se le compagnie assicurative sono a conoscenza di questi metodi indecenti ed ai limiti del legale.

Extremt missnöjd med Sixt och servicen. Jag kommer aldrig någonsin att hyra bil via de igen och kommer således varna folk för de.
Det är mest bluff och scam, och fokus gömda tilläggskostnader som dyker upp vid upphämtning.
Jag rekommenderar definitivt inte Sixt till någon.

Bokade bilen 7 dagar via Sixt i Sverige. Smidig upphämtning av bilen i Zadar. Vänlig personal, gav bra information om uthyrningsvillkor. Fick erbjudande om extra försäkringar och allt förklarat av vänlig personal. Bokade en kombi Ford Focus, men fick en nyare jättefin Skoda Octavia för samma pris. Fick tid på oss att kontrollera bilen vid upphämtning och var med när bilen kontrollerades vid avlämning utan avmärkning. Allt gick smidigt.

SIXT Zadar airport people are scammers!!!
We rented the car for 4 days by booking online for 302€. The night we landed and wanted to pick the car, the lady charged us 50€ extra on top saying they will fill the petrol by themselves and I don’t need to give the car back with full tank; I mean who in the hell calculates exactly how much petrol to be filled so that while returning the car, the tank is empty??
Second thing: On the contract they had expressed that there are only 2 scratches on the car but we took the video of the car on the same night & also next day morning and we found like 15-20 scratches. Thank god we sent them all to them on the Email.
While returning the car, there was some damage on the bottom side (which we had not done), which the rude guy with specs immediately caught the damage as if he already knew that the car was damaged and was speaking illogically with us saying we had to also take the bottom videos n stuff!! I mean does Sixt not check their cars before renting to customers and is this the way of a scam?
The lady during giving the car back named PAULA was the only understanding person and she understood what we meant and did not charge us anything extra.
Deposit during the pick up is a different story. In my entire renting experience with Sixt in Germany and also abroad I have never paid 1500€ as a deposit. If we don’t want to pay that much then they force you to buy the Insurance which is way too costly for a day!
Stay away from Sixt Zadar Airport. They are the worst…

Worst experience ever. Total SCAMMERS! While picking up the car they told us to pay extra for the insurance which they claim is their policy or else we were told to pay 1500 euro for the insurance which they blocked on our credit card.
Now the main part- While returning the car, the guy from Sixt was already standing in the parking garage. Just 5 seconds after we parked the car, he went under the car and checked and told us that it has been damaged along with the number plate. How could he know that within 5 seconds unless that he knew it from before??? Luckily I had taken a video which saved me after fighting with them for 45 mins.
Note- Take the video of the full car before taking it. Also take the photos from under the car as well. (Very imp) and tell them that there are marks and damages which are there already on the car.

Rezervace a úhrada zapůjčení auta včetně pojištění proběhla přes Booking.com Transport. V den vrácení auta jsem si všimla, že mi společností Sixt byla odečtena stejná částka, kterou jsem hradila již na Bookingu. Jsou to dva týdny a stále není se společností Sixt dořešeno.
Očividně se jedná o běžnou praxi, že zákazník za půjčení auta zaplatí 2x.
