My mum and I had the most incredible day kayaking from Makarska Harbour to the stunning Nugal Beach, and it was all thanks to our guide, Miro. From the moment we met him, we knew we were in good hands—laid-back, honest, and full of local insight, he made the whole experience feel effortless and authentic. Rather than rushing through the trip, Mario took his time to really show us the character of the coastline and share stories that gave us a genuine sense of the culture and people here in Croatia. His passion for the area was obvious, but what made it even better was how down-to-earth and relatable he was—no rehearsed tour guide script, just real conversations and genuine enthusiasm. One of the most unexpected highlights was when he encouraged my mum to try cliff-jumping! I still can’t believe she actually did it, but Mario made her feel confident enough to take the leap—literally. It was such a proud and fun moment for both of us. If you’re after more than just a touristy excursion—something personal, scenic, and full of heart—we’d wholeheartedly recommend heading out with Mario. This trip left us with unforgettable memories and a deeper love for this beautiful part of Croatia!!
