A Hidden Gem of Serenity & Luxury Surrounded by Nature
From the moment I arrived, I knew this was going to be a special stay. The home is an absolute sanctuary—immaculately clean, exquisitely furnished, and designed with an effortless elegance that makes you feel both pampered and at peace. And most importantly, at home. Nestled in the heart of nature, it offers a rare kind of quietude that instantly soothes the soul. I have happily visited four times during the summer, fall, and winter seasons.
The mountain backdrop is nothing short of breathtaking, and the pools and outdoor showers are a true highlight—whether you’re taking a refreshing plunge in the summer heat or embracing a rejuvenating cold plunge in the crisp fall air. Every detail here has been thoughtfully curated to create a perfect balance of comfort and beauty. And if you arrive in the right season the exquisite beauty of blossoms everywhere is a heavenly sight. For some international guests, fruits you may not otherwise see are also at your fingertips... from kiwis by the pool to fig trees past the entrance. This takes "buy local" to a whole other level! Ask the kind owners about paying extra for some unexpected walk-by "grocery" shopping. No extra charge for organic ;)
What truly sets this place apart is its location. Off the beaten path yet close enough to a historic small town (Imotski) rich with charm, it offers the best of both worlds. You’re only a short drive from countless tourist destinations, such as larger cities and impressive beaches. And yet far enough away to experience the inner peace that comes with escaping the hustle and bustle of crowded European destinations. You are close to the Red lake (one of the deepest lakes in Europe!), exciting hiking explorations, and close enough to Bosnia and Herzegovina to adventure further on for a day trip. The nourishing food options, access to local wine, mountain fresh air, and the natural surroundings make this home feel like a retreat for the body, mind, and spirit. If you’re lucky, see about booking a tour and wine taste offering of the local in-house winery, or book a tour of the extended grounds to understand the local aspects of farming and what it truly means to live off the land. If you wish to get earthy, get your hands working with the dirt from the land you are visiting and help plant vegetables or pick grapes if hands-on learning programs are made available during your stay.
If you’re looking for a place that offers tranquility, touch of luxury and home off the beaten path, and a connection to nature—all while being close to history and adventure—this is it. A true hidden gem that I can’t recommend highly enough!
