Recommended by the lonely planet guide book. We were lucky to get a table as it was busy! Helpful waitress who explained the dishes and wines to us. Bit of a wait for food but the waitress explained the kitchen is small at the moment.

Beautiful little restaurant with very friendly staff and typical slovenian cuisine in excellent quality. Visiting this place is a MUST if you're in town. Ask for the craft beer!

Wir aßen im Gujzina zur Winterzeit. Da das danebenliegenden Café vom Restaurant aus betrieben wurde öffneten und schlossen die Kellner häufig die Tür. Es war folglich arg zugig. Die Suppe war versalzen und kam viel später als das Gericht meiner Begleitung, sodass wir nicht gemeinsam mit dem Speisen beginnen konnten. Die Musik war nicht nur scheußlig volkstümlich, sondern hatte auch häufig Aussetzer, was die Aufmerksamkeit stets aufs Neue unangenehm auf sie lenkte.

Excellent selection of local foods and service with personality. Yes you can find some of the things on offer a little cheaper elsewhere, but this place is consistently good across the board and has a lovely atmosphere.
