Marko Tušek is a talented artist from Slovenia, known for his diverse range of artistic expressions. Born on August 23, 1964, in Kranj, Tušek's journey into the world of art began under the guidance of his painter father, who instilled in him a profound love for color and drawing from a young age.

Artistic Journey

Tušek pursued his passion for art by enrolling in the High School for Design and Photography in Ljubljana and later attended the Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 1988. With influences from esteemed professors such as Emerik Bernard and Metka Krašovec, he developed a unique style that transcends conventional boundaries.

Diverse Artistic Expressions

His work is not limited to painting; Tušek also excels in photography, theater and film set design, graphic design, and traditional mural paintings using the fresco technique. This multidisciplinary approach reflects his belief in the psychological unity of the visual arts.

Exhibitions and Recognition

Since starting his career in 1986, Tušek has been an active participant in both group and solo exhibitions. His artwork is featured in prominent collections, including the Modern Gallery in Ljubljana and the Museum of Gorenjska, as well as various private collections. He has participated in significant exhibitions such as "Slovenian Art 1985-95" and the 15th Festival of Contemporary Art - ART STAYS 2017.

Contribution to the Art Community

As the chairman of the artistic council of the Society of Artists Kranj, Tušek has significantly contributed to the local arts scene. He played a vital role in the establishment of the International Festival of Fine Arts in Kranj and has been instrumental in executing over 80 art projects through the Mala Gallery, enriching the cultural landscape.
