As an Asian, I was so excited to give Istok a try especially after knowing it has a Michelin guide and Gault Millau. But now I seriously wonder how they got both of it. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this one was a serious disappointment. The only dish I liked was the Miang Kham, but the others did not leave a good impression. The satay was not flavored well, and depended much on the peanut sauce, which I also found lacking. The crab balls were not tasty either and relied heavily on the sauce. The worst part was the tapioca pudding — how could it be considered a dessert when it was so salty?! The tapioca was also like a blob of jelly (check photo for reference) rather than individual small tapioca or boba-like pearls. I’m leaving this review to maybe serve as a wakeup call to the restaurant so they can calibrate the quality of their dishes.

We came for lunch, we love Vietnamese cuisine I can't say that it's not bad at all, but not at all at the high price Pho Bo is empty, pad thai made of partially glued rice noodles - nothing, salad with mushrooms is a separate story - dressing is a very sour substance as if only made of lemon juice, which does not decorate this salad at all, as the mushrooms themselves are also pickled and therefore sour and salty. Disappointed mostly because for some reason it was recommended by Michelin.

Wow, so good to taste these authentic asian flavors in heart of Belgrade!! Kind staff, beautiful garden in Dorcol area, it was hard to choose what to try, so we ordered more than we could finish. No regrets!!

The food is pretty average in taste, some kind of asian fusion, but the flavors are not authentic. I took a pho-bo and bao buns. In bao, the taste of onion completely overpowered everything, in pho-bo there was absolutely tired cilantro and very small thin pieces of meat. The portions are modest for a fairly high price. The outside tables were sticky and with crumbs, and I had to look for a waiter inside the restaurant, both for ordering and paying. Honestly, I don’t really understand why you were given stars.

Bon. Rapport qualité prix ok. Mais faut pas s'attendre à une merveille ou le seul restaurant du bib gourmand du guide Michelin qui nous fait aller. La sauce satay j'ai pas aimé. Les gyozas , simples décongelés. Le pad thai: hyper sec sans beaucoup de goût. Je laisse 5 étoiles pour ne pas mettre 4.

This is a mediocre place with overpriced food. After visiting it, I realised that Michelin stars isn’t an indicator for good restaurants, probably they were achieved by chance. We’ve ordered Pho Bo and Pad Thai, both of them don’t worth their prices at all. Phad Thai had really dry chicken and there was not enough sauce, but it costs 1600 (!) dinars - you can try it another places in center of Belgrade that will be much better and 1.5-2x times cheaper. Pho Bo is better, but still - it doesn’t worth 1300 din, it had really big pieces of beef that you need to cut for smaller parts, there were no lime and bean sprouts as well. Do not recommend this place

Простите, что пишу на русском. Сербский язык, очень посредственный, поэтому не буду писать на нём. Был дважды в этом ресторане. Фо-Бо, Фо-Га очень понравились: бульон наваристый, начинка вкусная. Бань Бао, это то, чего этому ресторану не хватает. Любые деньги, просто сделаете именно пирожок с начинкой. То, что есть у вас, оно вкусно, (пробовал с уткой), пикантно, многогранно, но вот хочется Бань Бао, чтобы это был пирожок наполненный начинкой. Спасибо за гостеприимство. Мы пытались говорить на сербском языке, но официант нас остановил, и сказал, что понимает по-русски. Спасибо ему ! Мы учим сербский, но говорить на ломаном стесняемся.

İnanılmaz kötüydü, 2 kişilik olan menüden sipariş ettik, gyzolar kupkurudu, hamura değil sanki plastiğe sarılmış iç malzemesi azdı. Padthai’si aynı şekilde kupkuruydu ve plastikti resmen. Bun’lar ortalamaydı. Ördek sosu lezzetsizdi. Kısaca asla tavsiye etmiyorum, nasıl michelin tavsiyesine girmiş inanılmaz! Tamamen şişirme bir mekan. Üzgünüm boşu boşuna kalori aldım!

11.07 около 18:00 зашли в некурящий зал, сели рядом с окном, т.к в зале было душно, а у окна хоть можно дышать, есть свежий воздух. Мы были вдвоем с мужем и сели за стол для 4х человек. Нас попросили пересесть за другой стол, т.к он для 4х, а нас 2е. Я прошу нас оставить за этим, т.к в зале душно, а тут хоть можно дышать. Нам все равно показывают рукой и настойчиво повторяют: это стол для 4х! Я непонимающе оглядываю зал и понимаю, что кроме нас вообще никого!!! Зачем нас хотят пересадить в душное место, если мы никому не мешаем, ничье место не занимаем, нет компании, которая бы ютилась за маленьким столом, вообще никого не было. Нам показывали рукой и просили сесть где душно. Мы не поняли этого и вообще ушли из заведения. Сделала фотку, что бы не быть голословной. На улице +32, зал для некурящих и там нет вентиляции и нет сквозняка, душно очень. Почему нам не дали сесть у окна и быстро перекусить остается вопросом. Про гостеприимство там ничего не знают.

Сделали заказ 2-х фо-бо. Упаковка такая: начинка в одном контейнере, горячий бульон во втором. Чтобы бульон не разлился, сотрудники ресторана предусмотрительно завернули этот контейнер в пищевую пленку. От нагрева контейнер с бульоном расширяется и крышка слетает. Бульон вытекает в пищевую пленку, а она, как известно, не очень герметичная. Как итог, весь бумажный пакет службы доставки промокает. Когда курьер его достает пакет разваливается и (хорошо что это было на улице, а не дома) содержимое пакета падает на асфальт. Ловкость рук позволяет сохранить половину содержимого. Но чтобы его забрать надо заплатить за обе порции. То что осталось и предлагается скушать рестораном на фото. Приятного аппетита, как говориться.
