Shout out from Chicago to Aleš and Florjan with Kolpa Canyon bike tours in Kostel for a fabulous ride through their beautiful valley. About an hour outside of Ljublana, Kostel sits on the Kolpa river bordering Croatia. Rode our electric bikes to a lookout called Kavranova Stena with fantastic views of the entire Kolpa river and adjoining valleys. Looks to be an unknown or future spot for avid mountain bikers as it reminds me of Colorado. Our guides shared there were hiking paths throughout the valley and trout fishing in the river. Unknown gem for outdoor enthusiasts.
