Die Spanjola ist wirklich ein wunderschöner Ausblick auf ganz Hvar. In den S8mmermonaten am besten in der früh oder am späteren Abend. Ab 20 Uhr sind auch weniger Leute und eine angenehmer Temperatur

Ima utedjena staza kaktusima i drvecem koja vodi do tvrdjave. Ne morate uci u tvrdjavu da bi se uzivalo u pogledu, a pogled je dobar vec na samom pocetku, Ako neko ne moze do kraja da se popne, vec relativno brzo se stigne do lepih pogleda na grad.

★★★★★ Atemberaubender Ausblick und spannende Geschichte Die Festung Španjola ist ein absolutes Highlight in Hvar und definitiv einen Besuch wert! Der Aufstieg ist zwar etwas steil, aber gut machbar – und wird oben mit einem fantastischen Panorama über die Altstadt von Hvar, den Hafen und die Pakleni-Inseln belohnt. Die Festung selbst ist gut erhalten und bietet interessante Einblicke in die Geschichte der Insel, inklusive eines kleinen Museums mit Ausstellungsstücken aus der Antike. Besonders bei Sonnenuntergang ist die Stimmung dort magisch – perfekt für Fotos oder einfach zum Genießen. Ein Muss für jeden, der Hvar besucht – geschichtlich interessant, wunderschön gelegen und ein Ort, den man so schnell nicht vergisst!

We walked to the top of the fortress and it was great. The view from the top is amazing It was not the best sunset view as I was expecting! But still great

It is expensive to get into the fortress (€10) to see nothing interesting, just walls and rocks. You can see the great view before you enter the fortress so it’s not worth at all going in. Also the workers asking for your money are rude as well.
