Absolutely love it! Well preserved fortress ruins. The tower is amazing experience when you can go on to very top. Village is well preserved with unique houses. Allow 1 h to relaxly walk around. I was surprised that there is no ticking.

This place is a must see if you are in the area. The fortress is amazing, with a beautiful mosque in the middle. The place is free which is unusual in this area and you can even climb the steps to the top of the tower!

Quite nice, you can park near the top for free and wander around the area, the tower is the best bit, there is also a glass floored vista point near the top. No toilets.

Güzelce ve yorulmadan gezebilmek için buraya zaman ayırmak gerekiyor. Her yer arnavut kaldırımı. Klasik Osmanlı şehir mimarisi örneklerinden. Ayrıca tüm yapılar taştan yapılma. Manzara ve dokusu gerçekten çok iyi. Yaşlı ve çocuklu bireyler için gezmek biraz daha yorucu olabilir. Bebek arabası ile gezmenizi tavsiye etmem. Kaleye çıkarken aceleci olmadan yavaş yavaş yürüyerek gezmeniz daha iyi olabilir çünkü arnavut kaldırımı yollarda yukarılara çıkmak gerçekten çok yorucu. Taşlar yağmur dolayısıyla kaygan ve yer yer aşınmış durumda. Kayıp düşmemek için uygun bir ayakkabı giymelisiniz. Yanınızda bir şişe su bulundurmanız iyi olacaktır.

Great spot to catch a sunset with beautiful views of the river. We parked at Restaurant Han, and paid a small cash parking fee. The walk up is mainly cobbled stairs that can be slippery. You will walk past a beautiful mosque and some other little buildings. It can be difficult to find the actual fortress as the signage isn’t super clear, but if you keep walking up and towards the left hand side, you should be able to find the main view point. Try and get there a couple of hours before sunset so that the sun doesn’t disappear behind the mountains too early, and close to sunset the level of bugs / mosquitos will increase and make it less pleasant. It’s maybe a 20-25 minute walk up. Removed 1 star as signage could be clearer.
