1 | The main train station in Trieste is currently undergoing renovation (as of July 2025), with some trains being replaced by buses. 2 | Tickets are sold at machines located below the departure board. 3 | In front of the station is a park that, in the morning, is full of trash, homeless people, and shady characters. It didn’t feel particularly safe.

The OBB train to Ljubljana was cancelled, there was a woman from the italian railway that told us that there was a remplacement bus. With the bus we pass the border to Slovenia and then we stop at Sežana, nobody is there to guide us, nobody was there to tell us from the beginning on that the bus was only going to Sežana (not even sure about that info) Lmao

Una stazione molto grande, con tanti servizi: negozi di alimentari, ristoranti, negozietti vari e anche un distretto di polizia. Ci sono stata il venerdì alle 14 circa, ma non c'erano nemmeno troppe persone.

Big' representative lobby is currently being renovated. The station has toilets for 1 €, that was for free for ages. Inside there is Spar store restaurant, vending machines. It is an end station.
