We came to Brela and dined almost exclusively at Volat, as it was so much better than other places we went to. Very friendly and welcoming staff, who also gave us some very good food recommendations (though I do not doubt any choice of food that they serve), food that is very mindfully prepared by the cooks that really know what they are doing, with attention to details and cleverly balanced in terms of flavours. Porkbelly (carsko meso) was superb, I ate swordfish for the first time here and it was delicious. Not to mention starters, if I could I would migrate them to Slovenia to be able to eat there just for the starters they prepare. Also try deserts. All in all, I will not forget this place and will probably come to Brela again with their food and hospitality in mind.

Very friendly and attentive staff. The food was great (both of us had the tuna steak), and the croquettes for appetizer were superb. Will definitely visit again. Only minus for me is that they don’t accept cards as payment is cash only.

Eksplozija okusa za nepce. Vrhunska hrana po više nego pristupačnim cijenama. Izvanredna, prisutna, ali nenametljiva usluga. Predivna, intimna atmosfera na terasi. Top izbor, svakako ćemo se vratiti. Bravo 👏

This place is a "must visit"! I've had the best tuna tartar ever. The atmosphere in the evening is so inviting and charming with the view on the sea. The restaurant service is charming, quick and just so nice!

Volat is an ancient doorway into a family run culinary world that will surprise your senses and warm your heart. This place makes you feel at home, just with better food and tastier wine (and without work the next day). I ll be coming back next year to relive this wonderful seaside lifestyle. PS. Make sure to try the squid croquettes!

Our second visit to this great restaurant. It is on the main road so not on the beach, but the food and service are the best in Berulia. We decided to go back because it was the best friendly and helpful service. From the tuna starters, sushi grade serveche, fresh local fish, large portions of vegetables and the fresh bread is delicious. Staff speak many languages as we heard them dealing with customers. We will definitely go back again for the homemade hot chocolate souffle (or lemon tart).

Superbly prepared food and excellent service. In contrast to other restaurants nearby, this is a real dining experience. Tuna starter - of sushi quality - with homemade kimchi was delicious and enough for three. Bream (dorade) main was perfectly cooked and not over-seasoned. Desserts were homemade and delicious. Limoncello digestifs were a very nice finish. Highly recommend this restaurant to you if you are seeking a good dining experience.

From the moment we arrived at Restaurant Volat, we felt genuinely welcomed — not just as guests, but as part of a warm, extended family. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, the food absolutely delicious, and what truly sets Volat apart is the exceptional staff and the hospitality of the owners, Tina and Zvone.
